Keeps a better posture and holds that tummy in place. Firm boning keeps the 3 bands from rolling over but sitting is rather uncomfortable over time. The lower band is wider and pushes your tummy up, a narrower band at the top smoothes down from over your ribs, and the third outer band pulls in your waist creating that hourglass shape. Very comfortable and breathable. Normal waist trainers typically ride up on the lower stomach area and need constant readjusting. But since this one has the dedicated separation it stays fully in place without the need for constant adjustments throughout the day. I got size 12/14 since my dress size is Large and my Jean size is 12 and it fits perfectly. I choose to sleep with the waist trainer instead and it's been 3 days. Every morning my stomach is snatched. I also go to the gym therefore my waist won't widen going forward.

I love this waist trainer. Not only does the material stretch, it gives an ambiance of smooth elegance. I wear it around the house, but can be comfortably worn under outside garments. I would say the size is perfect. I went a size up but could definitely wear a size down.
