Our shower rod is higher than normal so a standard length curtain just cleared about an inch above the rim of the tub. It's not easy finding an extra long curtain in a natural fabric. This is advertised as being a "linen blend" and though I can't find specifics anywhere about what it's blended with or what the percentages are, it's fairly obvious that it's probably a polyester blend because it doesn't wrinkle like linen does. I did iron it using the linen setting, but I didn't need to use a mister or spray which I typically would have needed to with 100% linen. In this case though, a little bit of polyester or nylon blended with linen is probably a good thing. It's enough linen that it looks natural, isn't shiny at all like high percentage polyester/nylon fabrics are, has a "natural" feel to it and is heavy enough that it hangs well and is not transparent. I am using this with a fabric liner and those two layers provide no transparency at all. The fabric has a nice weight to it and hangs well. It also has a visible and tactile weave that mimics the natural weave of linen. There are natural spreckles of color in the fabric which gives it depth and warmth. The only irrelevant criticism I have is that the curtain rings that came with this are white plastic and are extremely cheap and tacky looking. Not an issue at all because I purchased other rings separately and I had no intention of using the included ones which went straight into our Goodwill box. Maybe the seller thinks it's a nice bonus to include rings, but they would probably be better off not including them at all. ... show more

I had to get rid of our waffle-weave shower curtain as water was trapped in the tiny waffles... and created mold that was not easily seen. This curtain is terrific in that it's smooth but seems have a barrier for the water, the curtain does not get so soaked as a regular ordinary fabric will. It looks great, is easy to lift up & hang over the extra rod so that it is off the side of the tub and thus won't mold or mildew. So glad I bought it! Do recommend. I've not cleaned it yet so don't know how easy that is. ... show more
