Great and spacious hot tent. Pretty straightforward setup once you get the hang of it, even for one person. Used twice so far, both times in rainy and cold conditions. Held up well, solid & properly waterproof. It also retained heat from the tent stove pretty good, and the upgraded stove jack was a pleasant surprise. Slight disappointment was the inner tent tubs. Rated 70D but moisture seeped through overnight from the damp grass underneath. A groundsheet should do the trick. But happy overall, definitely worth the buy. ... show more

I've had this tent for over a month now and have already used it 3x, most recently out in the Mojave desert in Joshua Tree NP during mid-October. It was a great test of the tent as it was warm during the day and very, very cold at night. It's built like an absolute tank and can be daunting to set up the first few times. There are a LOT of stake out points, but you can get away with 4 points if there isn't any wind or you're just lazy, otherwise be prepared to make sure you have enough room to properly stake the whole thing out. Everything was already seam taped, the poles are thick and strong, and all stress points seem adequately reinforced. The sleeping capsule mesh inner is extremely roomy with tons of space all around making it a palace for one. 2 people would be pretty snug together, but the massive vestibule would be able to house all the gear making sleeping 2 people very reasonably comfortable. The vestibule is absolutely massive. As you can see in my pictures I could fit my chair and my work table all inside without needing to stretch out under the awning. If I want to crack out a stove, it would sit where the table was. Everything has adequate mesh for both bug protection and ventilation. At night, the vestibule served as my changing room. I personally HATE having to dress or undress laying down in a small tent if I can avoid it. Having so much room made changing while seated an absolute breeze. I should also note that having 3 different available entry points is AMAZING. This is NOT a light tent to hike with by any means, although if you're snow camping it would be perfect for a sled. That said, this is the ultimate car camping 4 season tent at this price point. It is legitimately incredible how much value you will squeeze out of this tent. Even if you NEVER use a stove this tent is still worth it purely for the space, comfort, and utility. It also looks great! ... show more

This tent is an amazing value and I would recommend it to anyone intending to use it for car camping. You won’t backpack this thing (too heavy) but for standard camping it’s great! With a small stove I’ve been able to camp in snow, wind, and driving rain with no issues at all. Very sturdy with all guy lines attached. It’s been fun camping in all sorts of weather. One setback - I wish the vestibule was a bit taller. My head touches the roof when sitting in my chair by the fire. ... show more

    • A Worthy Hot Tent For Winter Camping

Purchased this tent (2 person version) with the plan to go solo winter camping. I already had a wood burning camping stove, I just needed the tent to go with it..lol. I hoped this tent would meet my expectations and I can report it exceeded them a hundredfold. First, the tent is easy to set up. The pole guides are color coded and are helpful for the first timer setting it up. The poles make the tent very stable. I did not have to put out the guy lines. The tent is very taut. Second, the tent retains heat incredibly well. The vestibule allows a chair, table and a stove with the provided stove jack which is pre cut. Strong Velcro holds the cover down and it rolls up out of the way and is retained by loop and pegs. You could even get away with using a propane/butane heater with this tent and keeping the stove jack closed. The doors are large and allow easy entry and exit via the various zippered doors. The zippers are high quality and glide easily. There is also ample mesh that allows airflow enough to limit condensation which can be a problem in some tents. The tent also contains an attached inner sleeping area where you can remove and use a cot or two. The sleeping area has a bathtub design. Inside the sleeping area, you can sleep one comfortably and put gear in with you if the ground in the vestibule is soggy/muddy. When I went out, it started to rain heavily and kept a steady rain for about 8 hours. It changed over to snow during the night and the tent handled the precipitation like a champ. 2” of snow didn’t phase the tent or its poles. And the ground skirt kept the snow out. Overall, this is a fantastic hot tent. It’s a little bulky to take on a long hike as it weighs about 7 lbs in its bag but, can be done if you can carry that easily. I would highly recommend this tent if you wish to take your camping adventures to the next level and explore winter time/cold weather camping ... show more

An incredible steal for the price. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for 2 unforgivable let downs: the included pegs are ludicrously inadequate for a four season tent and the tie down toggles for the doors and mosquito nettings are nearly unusable. So just be prepared to buy longer, better and more tent pegs and get ready to fumble around (gloveless in winter) for the silly toggles. Great tent. ... show more

Unfortunately tent did not last. I’ve had the tent for 2.5 years in various conditions, all 4 seasons but nothing crazy. I take care of my gear so it’ll last long, but the tent failed on me on my last trip July 2026 with a tent pole snapping and one of the zippers giving out, during a heavy rainstorm.
