While my dogs prefer the taste of this food, I read through the ingredients and saw that there’s chicken meal included. When you search for chicken free dog foods, this product comes up? My one dog has had skin issues and our vet said that, most times, skin issues are due to chicken allergies. If your dog can tolerate chicken, this is an affordable solution but steer clear if you are trying to avoid chicken…..it’s a cheap nasty filler. ... show more

My dog has eaten this food for years. Sometimes the morsels are small and dark in color while other times they are bigger and more of a medium brown. Difference only makes me think, not her. Anyway as I opened the box to remove the 12 lb bag, I noticed a 4" slice in the bag. Looks to be made by a box cutter not the scissors I used. And it was on the opposite side of the bag from where I was opening it. I ended up checking the food as much as I could before putting it in the air tight container I use. I think someone at the Amazon warehouse inadvertently sliced the bag while packing so check your bags before using. ... show more

My 2 year old Great Pyrenees loves this stuff it’s the only food. I’ve tried other brands but this brand she gobbles it all up and doesn’t leave anything.
