  • Great food for pitbull with severe food allergies.
Flavor Name: Beef Size: 24 Pound (Pack of 1)
The Costco food our pitbull with severe food allergies could eat is no longer being made. We were having trouble finding food without her allergens in it. She can’t have peas, and so many other items in pet foods. This food is quite pricey but it’s the only food we can find to feed her. So we don’t really have a choice so we are trying to make it work financially. The cost is the only negative but I’m not going to take away a star for that. ... show more

  • Great dog food
Flavor Name: Beef Size: 12 Pound (Pack of 1)
I have a beagle with serious allergies to food! This all beef, no added harmful ingredients that are harmless, Worked! She can’t have any canned food! I boil hamburger in water in my crock pot until well cooked, add a bag of frozen vegetables, let sit overnight and remove all fat. Put a couple spoonfuls on 1/2 cup of dry add a 2 tablespoons of warm water. She loves it and I have no issues. I also give her a small amount in the morning. Dogs shouldn’t go all day until 5:00 without something. She also loves raw carrots, watermelon, apples as a snack. No issues. If she gets into something like cat food, I have to make her sleep in an outside crate because she will have a major problem ! ... show more

  • My dog no longer has two health issues as a result
Flavor Name: Salmon & Brown Rice Size: 26 Pound (Pack of 1)
I don't normally write reviews unless I really like something, and I have no idea how this stuff tastes.. but Our lab showed sensitivity to a lot of proteins and it took us a number of foods before we found one that seemed to work (a different highly rated fish-based food). Protein issues aside, she seemed to be in very good health and we thought the food was great. In the meantime, she had some other health issues. Frequent mucus build up in the corner of her eyes, sensitive skin, and she would spit up a small amount of water once or twice a day (a couple of tablespoons usually). She would much less often, spit up a lot more water. It was always just water though, not food, and not more than one time quickly, not like vomiting. This later issue got us taking her to see the vet. They concluded it was likely stomach acid-related and recommended we give her a little food extra before bed and maybe an antacid. This seemed to lessen the occurrence, but it never fully went away. Now just after turning 2, we went on a vacation she couldn't go on and left her with a relative. Just before leaving we were unable to get her normal food and were forced to find an alternative to get her through the vacation (the food from this review). It was also fished based and we wanted to see if adding grain back in might change anything for the positive. Getting back from the trip, the relative reported very few water regurgitation issues. We thought she was being nice so we didn't feel bad. Shortly after we were able to get her old food back and mixed the two to transition her back to it. Her water issue seemed to be more common again. We hadn't been back long though, so we didn't think anything of it. This time though, she seemed to have the issue almost any time she got up from lying down. Putting 2 and 2 together I concluded maybe the food was the issue. After stopping all other treats and switching to 100% the new food, the water issues went away. now a few months later she is back to getting her normal treats and is just eating the new food. I can't recall the last time she spit up water, I want to say it hasn't happened at all. In addition, her eye mucus issue is gone. She gets some on occasion, but at a level I would consider normal for any dog. I wish we had thought of this before now, it would have been great. needless to say, this is the food we use now and I couldn't imagine ever changing it. Her energy and attitude are unchanged and she is doing great. ... show more

  • So far…she loves this chow!
Flavor Name: Lamb & Brown Rice Size: 12 Pound (Pack of 1)
Seldomly write reviews. We have a 3 1/2 year old Wheaten Terrier. Started on Fromm as per recommendation of breeder and eventually changed to Hills Science Diet (sensitive skin and stomach) approx 6 months ago. Wheatens have issues. We would always have to coax her to “eat”. Ran into a teenage female on Indian Mound Park in Pompano Beach, FL who info’d they had a Wheaten for 15 yrs and this was finally the food that was the cure all; another older male confirmed as well by coincidence. Tried this. Today is day 3. First day, did a blend. I know I should have progressed with a gradual, increasing blend but didn’t. Gave her full tilt this stuff yesterday and today. All I can tell you is that in 3 1/2 yrs, she has NEVER ‘asked’ for her food; however, today she did. She gobbled this stuff like it was going on the prohibition list as of tomorrow. It’s obviously still too early to ascertain if some issues will clear up. Two observations: a) she has not been continuously been licking her paws as she was; and b) she appears to look like she has a lot of spunk…this far at least. Again, this is a very preliminary review based on very early observations and should be read and processed accordingly. Regards, me ... show more

  • small breed not listed. Only adult dog.
Flavor Name: Lamb & Brown Rice Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
It was not listed for small breed. The pellets are larger - the size of an m&m not pea size . My yorkie is having a time with it as he had several teeth removed a couple of years ago.
