Superb Alternative for Poultry Allergies
Flavor Name: Salmon Size: 11 Pound (Pack of 1)
This is a superior product for dogs with poultry allergies/sensitivities. I have a 70 lb Belgian Mal & Lab crossbreed. She is now 14 years old. She developed severe allergies to all poultry products. Beef and Lamb although better still caused a bit more irritation than we were comfortable with. This Salmon & Potato was the winner. She loves it dry or wet. This particular brand (Tru Solution) is identical to the Blue Buffalo Basic Salmon and Potato, just cheaper by $5. If you examine the ingredients they are identical. ( NOT THE GRAIN FREE) . They can be used interchangeably especially if one or the other is out of stock. ***Be aware the all grain free dog food has been linked to cases of heart failure in some breeds. The Basics Salmon and Potato comes both in standard and grain free versions. Only the standard is interchangeable with the True Solutions Skin and Coat ***** It is worth the price, has stable quality and safety performance, does not smell of strong fish. So don’t worry that your nose will get a tuna whacking experience. Honorable Mention: The Basics Whitefish & Potato in light blue & white can is the wet equivalent of this dry food. As well as the True Solutions Skin and Coat Wet Food. Hope this helps. ... show more

Helped my dogs skin allergies as well as softened her coat
Flavor Name: Salmon Size: 24 Pound (Pack of 1)
My doodle had really bad skin allergies until we switched to this food. Not only have the allergies gotten better, but her fur is so incredibly soft now! You can tell that this food is much healthier not only because of the great ingredients, but by how much it helped her in just a short amount of time. She absolutely loves the taste of this food and won’t eat any other dog food now. I believe it’s good value simply because the vet bills I had before this food were crazy high! Definitely recommend. ... show more

Pleasantly surprised!
Flavor Name: Salmon Size: 24 Pound (Pack of 1)
I have been using a "custom" dog food for several years now due to my golden retriever's allergies. I recently moved and went to update the shipping address but found they were sadly going out of business. As disappointing as that was, I needed another allergy-friendly dog food before I ran out of the other so I could transition her without causing gastronomical distress. I was extremely skeptical (the vet and I are trying to avoid Rx dog food). This food was delivered about a week ago. I feel like it's really too soon to see a change in her coat, except I DO. I've also noticed less "waste" from her, which is a mark of extremely good dog food. Let me be clear, I don't like the price, though it isn't much more expensive than what I had been buying for the past several years. But, I also don't like my girl being miserable with allergies--and NO ONE likes picking up waste, the less, the better. I'll keep purchasing this product even though it's more expensive than I like, because I'm delighted with the early results. Will update if there is some significant change but I'd definitely recommend this product! ... show more

4star because it does smell pretty bad. But my pets love it and it has helped them with dry skin. Scratch a lot less and don’t gnawl at their paws

Great dog loves it and skin is already better

Stopped the scratching
Flavor Name: Salmon Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
My dog had dry, itchy skin with no fleas, but lots of scratching. She’s an inside dog, I brush her regularly, and I don’t over-bathe her, but she does have some drug allergies. I decided to try this food specifically for skin issues before resorting to a trip to the vet. A couple of weeks after starting the food, it dawned on me that she had stopped scratching. I don’t know whether it’s because of what’s in the food or what isn’t in it, but it’s worked. We’re both very happy about that. ... show more

Good product, Poor packaging
Flavor Name: Salmon Size: 11 Pound (Pack of 1)
My dogs like this food. I don't kind the packaging: 1- Amazon packs this in a wide flat box so that you have to cut the seam...and then the bag is cut all the way down the middle. Major fail. Had this happen 2x now, even though I tried to be super gentle & light. 2- There's no seal on the bag, so when I poor out a portion into my counter top container, I can't reseal the bag...and they no longer have smaller bags. 2nd major fail. ... show more
