I am a bass clarinet player but wanted to dabble with another instrument and this looked great for the price. It is absolutely beautiful. I am still learning how to get that beautiful sound on the instrument. The mouth piece that came with the instrument is fine but I brought the Yamaha 4C per the recommendation of one of the reviews by a band director and having two mouth pieces are fine with me. I can rotate between the two. Great for a beginner to saxophone.

Right out of the box the product is really good. It has a very nice tone on the low notes, however the high notes are okay. For me the lowest two notes did not work because of sealing issues, but but that doesn't really affect your playing if you're playing it sheet music. It's also an easy fix. Overtime, the quality of the saxophone degrades pretty fast. An issue that I recently had was the octave key on the neck would not close after playing a high note, which intern would make whatever you play after that come out really bad until you press the octave key again. The case is nice, however the backpack barely works. Once you get it on you can't get it off and it's probably the most uncomfortable thing I've ever worn. It includes reeds, and the reeds are good, but they don't last long. Amazing value for the money, an amazing for beginners, however don't get this if you're looking for a long-term instrument.

did not play lower notes well, and low b key is not seated correctly (tilted- will not close correctly), so cant play anything lower. Reeds were moldy and brittle

Fantastic tone and material quality. Issue with the Whisper Key as well as low Bb and B keys not sealing. Good quality for a beginner and very easy to get in tune.

Biggest issue with this saxophone was the initial intonation. Many notes are sharp, others are flat, but as many wind musicians know, it needs time to be broken in. I’d recommend buying reeds and a different mouthpiece, just given that this sax isnt the BEST quality. (you get what you pay for.) Otherwise, I was genuinely shocked at the quality. Would definitely recommend for anybody who’s looking to pick up a hobby! Edit: I’d also like to say, definitely get a neck cork replacement. It’s not good quality, and not real cork. Also, definitely get a new mouthpiece and reeds. Saxophones are an investment and you should always make it to your standards and playability!
