    • Great Price / Performance ratio!
Picture - Nice and bright. Image is sharp and everything appears clearly. The color and brightness/contrast can be a bit fiddly to use, as it seems once it hits a certain range (around 40 and around 60) the brightness/contrast start moving in larger "steps", so you lose a bit of finer control. The keystone, while working, does heavily blur the edges of the image. A quick note for anyone looking to game with this: I am no pro gamer, nor do I have the most amazing reflexes, but when playing games where I can actually measure response time (such as Mario games, or Sonic games) there doesn't seem to be a perceivable amount of lag, if any. The refresh rate of the internal LCD appears to be around 60 Hz however, so take that for what it's worth. Sound - shockingly loud and robust from some tiny speakers. Speakers are located on one side of the unit only, however, which seems odd (one fires to the right, the other straight back, if the projector is sitting right-side-up). Still, sounds pretty good! Keep those expectations in check - they're still tiny 3 watt speakers. Build - The unit itself, while a bit bulky, is rather light. The fan is a bit louder than I'd prefer but if you have it hooked up to a home theater, or sit far enough forward, i suppose the fan noise won't be too bad. The focus/keystone knobs could definitely use some work. They feel very sloppy and loose. The keystone has actually managed to sit in a position where the internal lens wobbles due to air flow, which keeps making the picture wiggle. Everything else seems to feel and function fine, but those are my biggest nitpicks. Others - The manual could be a bit more detailed on how to change color and brightness settings (when you're in a signal source, click the source button, then move to Picture or Sound to adjust). The remote is a touch unintuitive, but you get used to it quickly. All in all, for a sub 200.00 projector, you aren't getting some IMAX 4K THX certified projector. You're getting a cheap, but still decent projector. If you are looking for something to pull out and have a random family movie night and aren't super worried about the high end features, give this a shot. If you are a major cinephile, then I have no idea what you are doing even bothering to look at a projector that is less than $800. ... show more

Everything is great it was so cheap and It elevated my room so well. I would say the phone mirroring quality isn’t that great but the if you buy a fire stick for it it’s so easy to use and looks good, volume is louder than I expected too

    • Ok projector, but save your money for something else.
It turns on and displays image at 1080p. I connected to a Playstation 4 Pro which proved it is not 4K supported. The fan noise level is manageable, but for some it may be loud. The speaker sound is okay, but I would recommend connecting an external one to the audio out connector or Bluetooth. I connected with hdmi to a laptop. After a while, the sound output would change automatically from projector to laptop. I don't know if the projector needed updating or if the sound driver was not compatible. That's not the main irk for me though. I decided to return this because the display image is blurry near the top and bottom even with max focus sharpness. The projector has a design flaw. The base screw for angle adjustment is not in the middle alongside the bottom where the lens is located. Even if you remove the screw, the image is still not parallel to the ground. I did set the projector on a level surface and used the turn knob for angle adjustment, but the image was still not parallel to the wall nor the ground. Perhaps I'm nitpicking at details that others may not worry about. I will try something else instead. ... show more

We love projectors at my house. Actually we have a total of 4 now. Dr.J projectors give you the best value by far. My 9 y.o. Loves turning the downstairs family room into an actual game room where he projects fortnite on the entire wall. We found this projector with 8500 lumens is bright enough to be used during the day in the basement which our others haven’t been able to throw a picture far with light coming in. It also has way better sound then others we have bought. I actually just use the projector speakers for movies. If that isn’t good enough for you they installed 2 usbs instead of 1 like every other projector we have. I highly recommend this for sports too. Everyone loves coming to our house to watch football and basketball. Another nice thing Dr j did was include a screen which is really awesome since it looks amazing on it.     • Worst Projector EVER.
The first one I bought developed a dark Cloud spot at the bottom area on the screen.....thinking it was the bulb but it wasn't. They replaced it and the new one is doing the same exact thing after a month basically. This brand needs to find a new line of business because they stink at making projectors. ... show more
