It doesn’t get cuter than this for Christmas decorations. The tree is shipped in a narrow box; you pull it out from the bottom to protect the branches. It is bushier than expected and looks so full that a relative who received a picture thought it was a real tree. There is a tiny knob at the top where a Kurt Adler 4” star (purchased separately) fits securely. A small green plastic battery case is hidden at the base of the tree. After you snap in 3 AA batteries (not included) in alternating directions (base of battery against spring), you press a button that starts a 6-hours-on/18-hours-off lighting cycle. I turned mine on at 4pm on a rainy day early in December and enjoyed the lights til 10 pm. Very happy with the pretty appearance, quality and value of this little tree. The tree came and there was no assembly required. All you had to do was fluff it out. It's great for a small space. I love the timer function which is 6 hours on and 18 hours off, so I don't have to remember to turn it of when I go to bed. I do wish that it had a few more lights or that they were placed a little more evenly. But overall, I'm very happy and reccomend it to others. ... show more

Loved the size. I went to dollar general and purchased tiny multi colored bulbs and a couple bows for the top . The lights on the tree are multi colored. You will need batteries AA 3 . Everyone that comes over loves this tree. We are away from home so this was perfect for us.
