I actually ordered this at the beginning of the year right after last Christmas, but didn't get to try it until a few days ago. I was a little skeptical due to all the reviews who say they can't get the stand to stay open when they try to roll it with the tree on it. The problem they must be having is that you have to make sure the hole on the inner sleeve of the stem is lined up with the set screw so the screw can go through it and tighten against the tree post. If you do this it is impossible for the stand to fold when you roll the tree. I did have the same problem as some others in that the first one arrived without the wheels, so I returned it and they sent me another one which had the wheels. This Tree stand on wheels is the best thing that ever happen, it made putting up the Tree 100% easier. It's Durable, my artificial 71/2 inch Tree fits perfect inside the stand, it did not add no 3 inch like it was said in the reviews, maybe 1 inch which I loved. If I was ask to do a commercial on this tree stand I would lol. I was just rolling away decorating my Tree. I rolled it every which way but loose. It was amazing and easy, no it did not get stuck it just rolled which ever way you want it to go. when I finished decorating the tree I just rolled it where I want it to be station and I locked the wheel which was very easy. This would make a lovely gift and boy they would appreciated. My daughter flip when she saw it so I am buying her one for her Tree. I live that this stand is on wheels. Makes moving my Christmas tree really easy. What I gave it low marks on was itโ€™s stability & ease off use. There is no way to lock the stand in its open position. This makes getting the tree inserted impossible for one person. Actually it took three of use & it was still difficult. Then because it doesnโ€™t lock you have to be careful when itโ€™s wheeled across different surfaces. ... show more

This stand is a great idea if you have space to store your tree on the stand during the rest of the year. We do have space to do that. We even bought a bag made to cover it to keep the dust off. What the stand needs is a mechanism to keep the stand from closing as you move the tree, which seems to have been the original point. I've figured out how to do that. The part in which the tree is inserted has no "floor", so the tree trunk went right through. We had to modify it with some screws so that the tree would stay straight. After doing that, the stand was secure and the tree could be rolled out to a storage area to await next Christmas.

Two years ago we bought a new tree when our local KMart was going under. I was able to get a $200 tree for $40. Of course, the box blew up this year & had to be tossed. We went Amazon surfing & we found this. This thing is great! This is a quality stand made of welded steel tubing with sturdy (not chintzy) locking casters. The only thing that could make it better would be a more solid arrangement for securing the stand in the open position. The thumbscrew works but I wouldn't trust it to keep the stand from folding when moving the tree around. Therefore, I move the tree by grasping two of the legs and gently pushing, pulling or rotating as needed. Being able to decorate my tree in the middle of the room and then roll it into place has made tree-trimming so much easier and enjoyable than it used to be. I recommend this product. ... show more
