  • Useful information and lovely films
Wonderful planning tool for our retirement RV tour of the US national parks.

  • National Park Southwest DVD's
Quality is good but not what I was looking for. I was looking for an instructional DVD of the parks so that I can have an opinion and idea for when I visit there. This is mostly photography and classical music competition... :-) Overall, is not bad but not what I wanted. Good for relaxing

  • Don't bother with this DVD
I've taken much better photos and put them into slide shows. This was a waste of money!!!

  • Wish it was available in Blu-ray
I love this series. So peaceful. Too bad it is standard def. Ran on PBS HD a lot a few years ago. Looking forward to it being available on Blu-ray from KUED someday.

  • A beautiful tour of a spectacular part of our country!
The cinematography is beautiful, there is a great sampling of many parks and natural features, some of which are famous, some not so famous. I appreciate the closed captioning on some of the DVDs because of my 96-year old Dad's being hard of hearing. Maybe when you know these national parks intimately you would say these programs are sub-par (based on a couple of harsh reviews I read), but not to me or my Dad. My Dad and Mom had visited most of the parks in years past, and now my Dad's been enjoying revisiting them through this collection, bringing up wonderful memories. Having never been to any of these places except Yellowstone, it was for me a feast for the eyes. I am a big fan of train DVDs, and have seen many different parts of the country, and this collection gave some spectacular variety to my "couch potato tourist" experiences. To just relax and learn, these are great. If you're looking for an on-ground education, you probably should just go there. ... show more
