I’ve ordered the 5 lb box before but in the 1/2” size and it was a good amount and selection. This time I got the 5 lb 3/4” and it was even better. There were about 300 stones and the variety was amazing. We got tigers eye, amethyst, rose quartz, regular quartz, gray chalcedony, dragons blood, beautiful red jasper and agates, sodalite, blue quartz, citrine, rose quartz, magnesite, rhodonite, aventurine, moss agate, carnelian, snow flake obsidian, black obsidian, unakite, Dalmatian jasper, hematite and yellow jasper. Most bulk orders are really heavy on one type of mineral like quartz, but this was just the right amount of each. It also comes with a mineral ID poster and learning guide! I am an Earth Science teacher and I order these for a Gumball machine I have in my classroom. Students can get a stone for $0.25. It’s hard to find quality rocks that allows me to sell them at that price. I will definitely be order again.

I got these for my students after we enjoyed the rocks in the advent calendar that National Geographic makes. I was able to put together bags of 12 or 13 rocks for each kid and have some left over. They were really similar to the rocks that we found in the advent calendar. It turned out to be just what I hope for. I had bought the 5 pound pack.

We bought a 5lb box for our summer reading program as little tchotchke giveaways the kids and teens could choose from. When researching prizes I was unable to find an estimate of how many stones per package were available so for future searches: a 5lb box held 459 stones (4 of which were chipped/broken).

I received a photo with my grandson with a huge smile on his face and the box of stones spread out in front of him. He loved it! Unfortunately, for some reason, the delivery was delayed by several days, but it didn't diminish his smile. I highly recommend this set.

Wonderful variety, I assumed they were a bit bigger but that's my fault not theirs. Pretty equal amount of each kind and there was a few that were not on the identification sheet so I don't know what they are, but its worth it nonetheless.
