  • Fascinating and Educational Atlas for Geography Enthusiasts!
Format: Paperback
The National Geographic Concise Atlas of the World, 5th edition, is an authoritative and comprehensive resource that has captivated both myself and my 13-year-old autistic son, who is obsessed with geography. This beautifully illustrated book is not only visually stunning but also incredibly informative and interesting. With more than 200 maps and illustrations, this atlas provides a wealth of geographical knowledge, covering a wide range of topics and regions from around the world. Each map is meticulously detailed, offering valuable insights into the physical and cultural landscapes of different countries and continents. What I love most about this atlas is its accessibility and readability. Despite the complexity of the subject matter, the information is presented in a clear and concise manner, making it easy for readers of all ages and backgrounds to understand and appreciate. My son, in particular, has been enthralled by the atlas and spends hours poring over its pages, absorbing information about different countries, continents, and geographical features. It has sparked his curiosity and deepened his understanding of the world around him, providing him with a valuable educational resource that he treasures. Overall, I highly recommend the National Geographic Concise Atlas of the World to anyone with an interest in geography. Whether you're a seasoned geographer or a curious enthusiast, this atlas is sure to delight and inspire with its wealth of knowledge and stunning visuals. ... show more

  • Detailed and thorough as always. Bravo!
Format: Paperback
Congratulations to National Geographic on an A-1 Atlas. I’ve already used it to learn about Ethiopia and Kenya!

  • Overall Very Good
Format: Paperback
Beautiful book in terms of print & photo qualities which is to be expected of National Geographic publications. Contents include the world, with physical/topological, socio-political, climate, biodiversity, health, food and many more topics. Map regions include North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, Antarctica (including flags for the respective countries) & Space. There is a comprehensive index and appendix. The binding is very tight, making it hard to see map details within the binding crevice. The atlas looks at continents and countries in large detail but lacks close-up details of individual countries or states/provinces — hence the word “Concise” in its title. This 5th edition’s copyright date is 2022, and what with the seemingly ever more rapid changes in our world, one wonders how long the social-political information provided will be pertinent. ... show more

  • Great World Atlas to Explore!
Format: Paperback
Glad I updated my National Geographic World Atlas. A physical Altas is just nice to explore and map out different areas on a larger scale. Thank you again!😍

  • Atlas
Format: Paperback
A beautiful atlas, however some of the maps are rather small. I owned a cheaper one in the past which frankly was better. It was published by darling kindersley.

  • Be warned, global warming maps. Ha
Format: Paperback
Not as great as I hoped and is also global warming propaganda, which I wanted to avoid. I want maps and related stats not to be told how a fake crisis is going. I wish I'd found a better atlas.
