I needed something to help divide my living/dining space. This was the perfect solution! It was tall enough for my 9ft ceilings, but did not take up a lot of floor space. It also did not obstruct my view from either space, which was a huge plus! The box did come with a gash to one corner of the box, but luckily the company packages their product VERY well. The “wood” shelves came unharmed. The only dent I found was with one of the black frame bars. It was slightly dented inward, causing a snug fit when connected. Nothing too noticeable. I am very happy with this product, and would consider ordering again. The price is right and the quality is surprisingly good. However, I may try the actual Nathan James website next time.

The shelves looks very nice. The veneer is well done and the shelves are thicker and thus stiffer than typical particle board shelving. The part they should reengineer is the connection of the shelf to the vertical rail. It's very weak. If you put even half of the rated 50lb weight on a shelf, it will start to wobble back and forth. That might simply mean a row of books. It is called a "Bookcase" after all. I feel very nervous putting even more than half a shelf's worth of books on it. They could have improved this connection tremendously by simply putting a second tab on the other side of the vertical rail. Probably not worth the full $170, but at a lower price, you get what you pay for.

I purchased 2 of these bookcases , they are easy to build and install. Mine arrived on time and without any damage . White is very clean looking and oak is very warm . I recommend to use smaller drill bit 3/16” so your anchors would be tight and secure.

I’m soooo bummed bc I messed up measurements and my electricity box gets in the way of this lining up flush with the wall. Other than that i thought it was perfect but then noticed a nick on the bottom shelf. Day one. I have to imagine it easily damages. We’ll see. Easy, breezy assembly (50 year old female) and beautiful aesthetic. Hope I can find another spot for it.

This was probably the easiest thing I’ve ever built. I had my husband hold it against the wall to make the markings when drilling it on the wall but you could probably do that on your own tbh. I got all my vases from Hobby Lobby when they go on 50% sale. They varied from $3-$20. Highly recommended! Waiting on the matching cabinets for my entry way table. Good luck!!

The Theo Bookcase checks all the boxes for me. I shopped and compared a dozen different "ladder" syle, wall-mounted bookshelves before choosing this one. I liked this one because it has 6 shelves, compared to five shelves on most. It is 30" wide compared to 23" wide (or less) on most shelves offered. The most important feature I needed was the ability to clear the baseboard heating unit, which it does easily by 3"-4". I got this for our small vacation home that doesn't have a lot of extra space to place furniture, but I MUST have a place to keep my books! And because the few available spaces have the baseboard heat I want to be careful what I put in front of them. This shelf unit fits the available space perfectly and feels very secure with the frame screwed into the wall at the top. I also really like the all-white unit as it blends in with the white wall, making a cleaner uncluttered look. The finish on the shelves is very smooth and nice (and no worries, the plant on the top shelf has a padded mat under it!) The box is heavy so it helps to have two people to lift and carry it. After that the assembly can easily be done by one person and is very simple and straightforward. You might want two people again at the wall mounting stage so that one person can hold the unit in place while the other checks the level and marks for the wall screws, and then holds it in place for screwing in the brackets. I can't overstate how happy I am with the Theo bookcase! It is exactly what I envisioned.
