We bought these for our cabin so the kids would have a place to sit at our island overhang but weren't obnoxiously large/don't draw attention. We purchased 3 and 2 arrived in perfect condition. One arrived in what appeared to be new condition but had a stain on the seat and wobbled a bit. Must have had a tough go in the factory. I reached out to customer service (Nathan James) instead of Amazon, because I had little desire to deal with that. I was hoping to possibly get a replacement leg or something and they requested photos showing the issues (no problem with me). Once they saw the stool they determined they didn't have parts but simply sent a new stool, which arrived in perfect condition. The stools themselves are really comfortable and I also enjoy hanging out on them- something I wasn't expecting. They seem to be sturdy (we've only had them a couple weeks) and they spot clean well (yea.. kids). The color of the legs really changes depending on the lighting at the time. I included a photo of the stool sitting in the sun vs in the middle of the kitchen out of direct light with warm light above the island. Our cabinets are an older cherry. Really happy with the stools and I hope they last a while! ... show more

The finished product gets a 5 star. Sturdy and nice clean look. Came nicely packaged with all parts and good instructions. Loses one star because getting to foot rails attached was extremely difficult. The angle of the screw just made it really hard to get in right. Cam very close to packing it all back up and returning. I ordered the grey seats with white legs. It matched my decor perfectly and reasonably priced for a sturdy stool. I ordered one to make sure it matched and comfortable to sit on, it was perfect! So I went back to order 3 more. I went to the “returned” section to see if it may be worth the price. They stated that they were returned with all pieces intact. And significantly cheaper, So why not? I got all 3 and put them together which was super easy! I had my husband only come in at the end to screw the last of the screws in. The last one I opened had a broken foot rail. But still, all pieces were in fact in the box! I emailed customer service and they sent me a new stool which was way more than I expected.. came within a few days and it’s perfect! They all matched perfect height, seat width etc. I came home today and found a box of chocolates at my door! Whaaaat?! Who are they from? I opened the card and it was from Nathan Lane thanking me for MY patience while they made it right! Little things like this definitely make me want to order more things from them! Overall these are reasonably sturdy, comfy, and nice looking for the price. I ordered two, and both had one leg slightly shorter than the others, which is level after adding all the extra pads they came with to the short legs. The underside is unfinished, with visible plywood, staples, loose threads, and stickers. I chose to cover this myself rather than hassle with a return. I love these bar stools. They are so comfortable and sturdy. I had a small problem with one of the four stools I ordered. The cushion on the seat had a curve in it where it seemed like a chunk of padding was missing underneath the fabric. It wasn’t noticeable to the eye but it was when you sat on it. I probably wasn’t going to go to the hassle of returning it but thought I’d call anyway. I sent them some pictures; they had a manager review them; and then they called me back that same day. They were going to send me a new stool and I wouldn’t have to be troubled to return the old one. I was pleasantly surprised. The new stool came within a week and it was in excellent condition. The company also sent a small box of chocolates to “sweeten my day” while they worked through my issue. I will definitely buy from them again! ... show more

I had to order these twice because the first time they sent me the stools someone had already opened and I didn't even have all the parts to assemble. Plus the nailhead design was really crooked on both stools so I decided to return and reorder as I didn't select the open box option to begin with. The second order turned out a little better. The color is great, the nailhead is mostly straight and the height is perfect, but they were a pain to assemble and they're wobbly. My boyfriend ended up having to finish assembling these because the holes for the bottom screws were half stripped on both so I couldn't hand screw them in all the way. After about 1/3 of the way they wouldn't go in any further. He had to use a drill and even then it took him a while to get them to cooperate. Eventually we got them assembled but the footrests and legs are still kinda wobbly. For $160 each I thought they would be a little better quality. This is my first apartment so it works but I wouldn't buy these again in the future. ... show more
