The desks arrived in excellent condition. The style is perfect; mid century modern and a great color that can pull anything on the room together. They were easy to assemble. I have three kids (5, 9, and 12) and one of my kids got what appeared to be green marker on the desk. I was able to get it out but had to do significant scrubbing. I was shocked that this desk didn't get scratched at all. My kids did manage to sing the front edge a bit with our old chairs that had handles. The handles were at the exact right height that it gouged the top edge of the desk. I used a minwax golden oak blend-fil pencil and it worked perfectly. This desk is a perfect desk for my imac. Fits a small space and is very sturdy and SUPER easy to put together. The drawer is nice and large enough. Very happy with the purchase. It has been almost a week since I got it and the smell is pretty bad, nauseating and I wish I had placed it outside for a few days to air out, but I needed to set up shop. I did not see any smudges or fingerprints as other reviewers have noted, but maybe I was lucky? This desk is a great buy. I dont usually like mid century modern furniture but this is very cute and can fit any aesthetic. The top of the desk is a little textured and not glossy or super smooth, which I am fine with, but if writting on a sheet using a pencil or ballpoint you will see the texture in your writting, have to use something under the pages to prevent texture transfer, as it where. Such a pretty desk. It’s sturdy and well made. It was packed up so carefully and the instructions were easy to follow. Some other reviewers were disappointed with the color of the wood but I really like it. It’s light wood with a little honey color in it.

I would give this product 4.75 stars if I could. All the parts were there and in pretty great shape. One spot of welding on the legs is a little weird, but definitely not very noticable to most people. And one hole to attach the legs and the top didn't line up well enough, but all the rest were fine so I don't think it should be an issue. One thing I had a problem with was that most the parts were covered in a fine dusting of fiberglass-like particles. I would recommend some gloves and wiping it all down before assembly. Also, I skipped a couple parts. The pieces to attach it to a wall (I'm not putting it against a wall) and the spacers to keep the drawers from going back too far (it caused the top to not sit flush in the back, and since I'm going to be able to see the back regularly, I didn't like how it looked). The drawers don't seem to go back to far without the spacers, but the packaging came with plenty of styrofoam, so if you were really worried you could just fit a little piece back there. Overall though, it's a great product. Seems sturdy and looks great! ... show more

Love the design of the desk. Exactly what my daughter wanted. Fits perfectly in her bedroom and has plenty of space for her school supplies. Fairly easy to put together. I was missing a package of screws (11) but had extra of another (6) that worked. Directions were easy to follow as long as you check the picture to verify, not all steps were written out. Really my only complaint is that several pieces had minor damageand or imperfections. Most of them were no big deal since it ended up being on pieces that were hidden or cover by other pieces. However the top of the desk has several black spots that look like they didn't get finished properly. Would have given 5 stars otherwise. * came back in to update my review. I contacted the Nathan James about the imperfections. They gave me two options to fix the problem. Both options were more than satisfactory. They also followed up several times to make sure I was satisfied. Would definitely buy from them again. ... show more

Love this desk but had a hard time building it as the instructions & steps didn’t match up with the items that were sent to build it with. I emailed their customer help (they were very nice!) and they confirmed that several of these desks have the wrong/misprinted instructions included. Once I figured out how to build it on my own, I was happy with the desk. Great quality and beautiful! The wood also is more orangey than the photos on here - I did a poll on my instagram to ask if people thought it was the same wood color as the picture and 98% of responses said it looked like a different type of wood, but still a nice desk! ... show more
