I caught this on sale for my oldest son’s impending launch, with the expectation we’d store it in his closet until he was ready to move (a few months from now- he’s in his last semester of his college program). He has a smaller closet, and the way it’s packaged makes it totally feasible to stand in a back corner until you’re ready to open it. As it turns out, he was excited and ready to open it now. Oof. Fast forward 10 days, after I’ve ordered the up-sized bed frame and mattress protector (I’d already bought the sheets, pillows, and comforter set) and arranged to borrow the neighbor’s guest bedroom so the mattress had a flat place to lay undisturbed for three days, and now he’s lodged a complaint that this new bed is too comfortable and he’s struggling to make himself get out of it for his 9 a.m. class. Our experience was kind of an obstacle course, but here’s what you need to know: • The package is heavier than it looks. Proceed accordingly. • Don’t open the plastic vacuum wrap until you’ve got a flat surface this can lay on for a few days to fully re-inflate. • We didn’t notice any strong odors after opening. • It expands rapidly when you open the plastic. Like… RoadRunner cartoon rapidly. Proceed accordingly. • Standard full-size sheets and mattress protectors accommodate it just fine. • It’s more plush than we expected, but still has minimal motion transfer. • It really does stay cool. My kid sleeps hot and even after sleeping on it for 8 hours, he’s still comfortable when he wakes up. • We have it on a bed frame with closely-spaced metal slats and no box spring, and it’s still fully supportive. I’ll add a board to extend the life of the mattress, but it’s comfortable without either. • I had also planned to add a 3” mattress topper to this when I bought it, to further extend the life of the mattress. I’m still going to do that, but for comfort and cooling, it’s not necessary. • It’s too soft for me, but I have a long-standing angry hip flexor condition that demands a bed only slightly softer than a sheet of plywood. Overall, we are super impressed with this mattress; both at the sale price AND the regular price and we recommend it. It’s a fantastic value.

Update: I've been sleeping on this mattress for several months now and I have to say I don't know why I didn't get a new bed like this years ago. It is so comfortable, I love going to bed now. I did put a cover on it, and a pad. Inexpensive Amazon microfiber sheets, and duvet insert/ comforter, topped with a light blanket. Microfiber pellet pillow. No pains! ------------ I was surprised at how soft this mattress is, I sink into it quite deep. However it is comfortable. Maybe it took a night to get used to, but no pains or aches anymore. With a new microfiber pillow is like sleeping on a cloud. Don't use a big pillow because the body will sink quite deep. Very pleased so far, I hope it lasts a long time. They are not expensive though so would by another if they last awhile. 5'8" 185lb male

I’ve had this bed for a little over a month. At first I loved the pillow too nature of it it’s a soft bed and quite comfortable. Then I started waking up in pain after about 2 or so weeks of use. It has caused me the WORST low back pain I’ve ever experienced. I had NO lower back pain prior to sleeping in this bed. It sinks in the middle as if I’ve had it for years. Now sleeping on my side or stomach becomes unbearable. I can hardly walk when I get out of bed let alone bend. I believe the sinking middle is because of the way this mattress is packaged and perhaps my mattress had been boxed up far too long, idk. I wish I could send this back. It’s ruining my day to day and my sleep has been tragic. Spare yourself. Don’t buy this bed. Edit/Update: Silly me, I failed to ensure this mattress had proper support. This mattress requires a solid bed Frame , wood slats, or box spring or the mattress will sag. I added wood slats under my mattress and my lower back pain went away. Back to 5 stars.

I absolutely love this mattress. I had a high end mattress that caused me a lot of back pain and lack of sleep. I would wake up every morning feeling like I never got any sleep, in pain and feeling sluggish. Well, those days are over. I now wake up every morning feeling rejuvenated and pain free. When you unwrap this mattress be ready for a instant inflate. You don't have to wait days for the mattress to air up. I received the mattress in the afternoon and was able to sleep in my new bed that evening. My last mattress had soft sidewalls that would leave you hanging on for dear life so you didn't roll off onto the floor. Not with this mattress. The side walls feel sturdy, strong and no fears of rolling off the bed while sleeping. Sitting on the side of the bed feels like a bed should feel. Bottom line....this will be the best mattress you have ever bought. Don't let the inexpensive cost of this mattress fool you.....It is way better than the $2500 mattress I replaced it with. Thank you Nap Queen for making a exceptional mattress at a very affordable price.
