Seems well made. The regulator is a tiny bit flimsy feeling compared to the rest of it, but perhaps that's because the rest of it is built like an early 1900's deep sea diver suit. It's so heavy duty and nice. Not a single sound from any of the seals on first pressure up. One of my chambers (the first) had an odd residue in it, suspiciously looking like it had been used. Regardless, the filter looked fresh, and what wasn't immediately clear to me, potentially because so many reviews and questions circle around filters not being easily available, was that it also comes with spare filters. One of each, and 4 desiccant refills. The pictures show the filters, but doesn't mention they are also pre-installed. Perhaps I got a lightly used one and someone had also installed mine? I'd bought an extra of the one I could find, and so if this really is the case with them all, I was surprised to see they supply you with extras. That would be pretty generous for the money. Refills on those parts are over-priced however. You're looking at 50 dollars (20 for the white one and 30 for the red), so actually a little puzzling they should cost so much to purchase more, when they are also washable, and because of the type of filtration, rig-able with a similar type of filter too should they ever run out or be unobtainable. ... show more

I’m running a plasma CNC table as a small startup business and really needed something to dry out the air, this fits the bill. The fittings that came with it can be thrown away go to the hardware store and get proper pipe fittings, and the desiccant has to be replaced quite often as it’s a pretty small volume, but desiccant beads are cheap and changing them takes 30 seconds. Like I said for the price it does the job very well, would give 5 stars based on that alone but the included pipe fittings were pretty silly ... show more

    • Great for small volume or plasma cutting.

The media could not be loaded. Does a great job at filtering the moisture out if it’s low volume use. It works great on a plasma cutter at lower volumes. Unfortunately, it does not keep up with the volume that it advertises. The filters on the unit are not efficient at removing moisture. Most of the moisture gets removed from using the desiccant. If you’re running a blast cabinet or anything that requires completely dry air at higher volumes this unit will not keep up. The filters are easy to swap out and comes with extra desiccant as well as extra filters. The regulator works as it should, and for the most part, it had no leaks or any other issues. The unit itself is built fairly well. I gave it three stars because it’s unable to keep up with the demand that it advertises. In my opinion, running an extra large desiccant filter alone will do the same job as this unit does. On the other hand, this unit will keep up with a lower volume plasma, cutter, or CNC plasma cutter and will keep the air dry for the most part. If you are running expensive nozzles for your plasma cutter and moisture is not an option. I would recommend a secondary unit with desiccant. Great unit for low volume production, but it does not do the job at volumes that is advertised. ... show more
