Y’all. Get this chair. I was one of those people who wanted to really SIT in a chair and try it out before buying it, but in THIS day and age? Everything outside the house is lava. So good old Amazon it is. This is all you need to know: I was hardstuck in Silver and I’d like to think that this new chair was the last push I needed to get to Gold. It’s like the elder dragon of the chairs. If you know, you know. I was a bit nervous about buying this chair because it didn’t have many reviews but I did some research and it looks like a solid brand so I just went for it. I’m a sucker for design and this was perfect in my price range. My housemate who built this for me got it done in like 15 minutes, and we were both impressed. The seat is comfy for long hours (they say sitting is the new smoking but I am here for a good time not a long time). The wheels roll smoothly which is perfect if you need to roll to the other side of the room and grab a snack or something. And flip them arms up and it’s a multi-purpose chair!! Sometimes I use the back cushion as a pillow when I need a nap at my desk because we all need a nap at our desk. Love love love! ... show more

I've been wanting to buy myself a new gaming/desk for ages and was so excited when this arrived - only to have it very quickly turn into one of my most regretted Amazon purchases ever. The chair was simple enough to put together - no easier or more difficult than other similar style desk chairs I've assembled. It's not a particularly sturdy chair but seems like it will hold together ok over time. But it is also one of the most uncomfortable chairs I have ever sat in. I spend a lot of my free time sitting at my desk - I like to play video games and I live in a small apartment without a TV or couch so I watch movies sitting at my computer. I also work a physically demanding job where I don't get to sit down a lot so when I get home I need a comfortable place to unwind. This chair is not it. As a lounging chair for watching movies or causal computing: -The chair cushions are super-firm and have no give, even if you loosen the tilt to lean back you still feel like you're sitting on one of those awful school bus bench seats. The arm rests are very short and narrow, when I try to rest my elbows on them they keep slipping off. The head cushion would be a nice idea, except it's held on with an elastic band that wraps around the top of the chair back and it keeps popping off. Not that it really matters anyway since the back is so short that the top of it only comes to the base of my skull (and I'm only 5'4"). As an ergonomic desk chair: The back of the chair is super-stiff and offers no contouring to support the spine, and, as it is technically a gaming chair, it is tilted back a little too far to really sit up straight in. The lumbar support cushion is huge. It takes up so much seat space that when I use I feel like I'm being pushed off the chair (and again, I'm not that big). The height adjustment range is decent. I have it fairly low down to allow me to sit with my feet flat on the floor, so I imagine someone much taller than me would have no problem in that regard - but again, with the back so short I don't see how anyone taller than me could even sit in it anyway. As a gaming chair: I sat in the chair for about 45-60 minutes playing Minecraft. I kept taking the lumbar cushion on and off because I couldn't get comfortable, neither option seemed to make it better. The armrests were too small and too wide apart so I couldn't use them much while operating either the keyboard or mouse. I ended up having to quit playing because I started to develop sharp pains shooting down both outer thighs. Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll be able to return it, so I'm hoping some charity can find a use for an almost brand new desk chair so I don't have to feel quite so bad about wasting my money on this thing. ... show more

My old chair finally gave out after months of working from home. Kinda glad it did because it was one of those basic chairs that hurt my back. I needed a comfortable and supportive gaming chair that would go with my room as well. First things first… I'm not a fan of assembling things. I was worried about it, but it was easy to put together (huge plus!) The material feels really nice especially for the price. The chair is well built too. My first expression as I sat down was fantastic! The seat was wide enough that I can cross my legs. The cushion is a great addition – I’d push it up towards the curve of your spine vs. just on the bottom of the seat when you sit down to make it more ergonomic. I was pretty impressed that the chair goes up higher than my old office chair and that I can still tilt backwards at the highest setting, and it still feels safe. I also like that I can lock the tilt function so it feels a bit more stable when I’m working. The flip-up armrests are a huge plus because it makes the chair more versatile and save space too. After using this for a couple days, I can say that this gaming chair was definitely worth the money and I’m really happy about it. ... show more

Nice looking chair, but the cushions are awfully stiff. Hopefully they'll soften up over time. Assembly was... interesting. First time I've ever had to break out my tap and die set when assembling cheap furniture, and I've assembled a lot of cheap furniture. The included bolts are typical crappy Chinese steel, and probably on the low end of that. The threaded holes in the seat back did not line up quite right with the holes in the armrest. That misalignment was enough to strip the threads on the bolts and the inserts with very little pressure. Luckily I was able to tap the holes and clean up the bolts for another attempt. Finally got it right. I do really like the folding armrests and the overall stability. It's nice to be able to get the armrests out of the way of my when playing driving games. If I had to do it again, I would have gone with the similar looking chair from Office Depot that was more comfortable but a bit more expensive. Update: After using this chair for a few months, the padding has, indeed, softened a bit and is now more comfortable. My dog has decided that putting her front paws on the armrest is a good way to get my attention while I'm working. I'm pretty impressed by how the pleather on the armrests I'd holding up to that abuse. ... show more
