This is a pretty complete sketching kit. All you would need is included in the compact zip case, including a small sketch pad. Everything was in good order, except for the box of charcoal willow sticks. They arrived crushed for some reason. Still useable but some pieces broke. Great assortment of items to work with including a variety of graphite pencils and sticks, pastel pencils, charcoal pencils, a variety of charcoal sticks, erasers, sharpeners, knife, pencil extender and my favorite, sandpaper paddle. Perfect kit to travel with or pack in your bag for daily use. Very convenient. Priced well for all that you receive, and the items are of good quality. You can continue to use the case and add your own items when the original assortment is used up. I really like this set and would definitely recommend it!

I realize this set is intended for beginners, but compared to another kit that is similar (and priced $2 lower than this one), it has a way smaller variety of items and is way lower quality. This set probably is an okay choice for beginning artists or young kids, but there are better options out there.

My teen daughter constantly sketches anywhere and everywhere, so as soon as I saw this, I knew it should end up in her Christmas stocking! I love that it comes in a zippered case so that all of the pieces are easy to keep track of, and that it includes all the supplies you need to get started with sketching and shading. I'm not sure yet about the quality of the materials, but there's such a variety of drawing tools that this set is already a great value even before considering quality. If you're giving this to a less experienced artist, you may want to include an instructional drawing book as well, to help them figure out how to use the materials included. I'm actually glad that's not included with the kit, though, since it makes more sense to choose a book that matches the artistic interests and skills of the recipient rather than throw in something generic just for looks. All in all, a well-put together set of supplies that is convenient to carry wherever the Muse leads them.

This is a good starter set for anyone wanting to get into drawing. It has everything you need to get started. The drawing implements are very good quality on everything. The drawing pad could be a bit better if the paper was a bit high quality and spiral bound. This would make a great set for a gift.

I've been drawing and sketching and sculpting and crafting ever since I was a kid. This MYBRELAR Sketching and Drawing Kit has it all. A lot of folks use their laptops and tablets when they're on the go and traveling to do a lot of their artwork, but there's nothing like working in the old world of analog. Digital is fine, but holding a pencil or a piece of charcoal in your hand and feeling your creation come to life on paper or on a canvas just has a special feeling that a laptop and a stylus and pad just can't give you. This kit comes with everything you need to start drawing and sketching right away.
