These are great little spacers. They slip between the boards easily and with the apron, they support themselves on the boards well. I would have liked to get the ones which have 4 different sizes on each spacer. We learned that not all the boards we were replacing were the same distance apart and having spacers with different sizes would have helped. However, if you are laying a NEW deck or something like that, these work GREAT. Only change is maybe a slightly bigger finger grip.

These work great. I ended up with a box of green, purple, and a mixed. Lesson learned: the loop is NOT strong enough to take heavy force needed to yank out of a tight joint (100+ lb!) Instead, kick it from the side 🤣

I put together a picnic table top using pocket screws and common 2x6 lumber. Needless to say these days the common lumber was twisted or bowed. As I did my best to straighten the lumber as the top went together I would use the spacers to keep my gap between boards. Much of the time the spacer would be jammed in between the lumber and I’d have to use hammer claw to get them out and they didn’t fail, nice and durable. One lesson I did learn putting the table top together was to leave the spacers in place until you’ve clamped and screwed all of the boards together, otherwise the clamp will mash the boards together with no space, the pocket screws holding the board spacing in place is no match for the pressure from the bar clamp. Buy enough spacers so you can leave them in place if necessary, until the project is complete.

For the price these are great, all the ones are measured were consistent and they're durable enough for the task while being a lot cheaper than others I saw. That said, if you're going to use these for wood decking, as opposed to composite, get the variety pack of different sizes. Wood isn't perfect and no matter what you're going to end up with inconsistencies building across multiple long boards, I found myself wishing I had the sizes above and below these to subtly adjust the spacing of my boards to keep everything square and lined up. Still cheaper than the ridiculous price some other vendors want for plastic spacers with multiple sizes.
