I hooked this up to my GFCI hot tub breaker and decommissioned our hot tub for the summer. It said max gallons was around 500 so I was hesitant because we have a 1200 gallon pool, but wow! It heated the pool up to 30 degrees c no problem. At first I was worried it might be defective because hours went by and I couldn’t feel a change, but I left it all day and actually had to turn it down because it was getting too warm for our pool.     • Didn't work right out of box\Update!!!
Purchased this product in may 2023 and had it hooked up 30 days later. Electrician wired it to a 220 volt GFCI breaker and it instantly blew the breaker. Checking all the wiring, which is simplistic, everything was fine. Determined a dead short internally. Unfortunately I was one day late of return policy and now have to deal with manufacturer. This is a very non complicated product and somehow still screwed it up. Looking like I just ate the $180.00 price tag. UPDATE!!! EVEN THOUGH THE PRODUCT WAS DEFECTIVE THE MANUFACTURER RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY AND EVEN THOUGH AMAZON 30DAYS EXPIRED THEY CREDITED MY ACCOUNT FOR THE PURCHASE PRICE. Bought this for out 12' x 36" pool. Keeps the water at a perfect temperature so the kids can swim anytime they want. On a side note - no washers are included for connections so make sure to uy some or you will be run back to the store.

We finally got this heater hooked-up. It performed well and heat up the hot tub when tested. So far no issue encountered yet. The diagram was easily followed by the electrician. We haven’t use it for a long time due to the hot weather here in Texas. I’m pretty sure it will get use more often come fall and winter season.     • Nice little heater for our hot tub!
We have a hot tub that is part of our pool system and our big propane heater failed. So, I thought why not give this a try? lol It definitely took some time and effort to re-plumb and connect the electrical for this unit, but it was worth it! Our hot tub is smaller with only a few hundred gallons, and this unit does well to heat it up! I really like the built in temperature control and indicator light. So far it has worked well, but only time will tell its lifespan and longevity. For now though, it seems to be a quality made product that works for its intended purpose, so I am giving it the top rating! ... show more

    • Works great as long as you already have 220.
It was tricky getting the right 220 power set up, but after that, it did the job well and got the water in our very small 10' pool nice and toasty.

My neighbor offered us his old hot tub. Everything looked and worked like new except the heater. I did a little research and came across this heater. Long story short, for $180 and a little work we now have a nice hot tub that gets nice and hot. Installation was not difficult at all and took about an hour. Once all was said and done, I invited our neighbor over to see it. Imagin his surprise when I told him it cost me a whole $180 to fix.
