Top Amazon Reviews

  • Perfect for night play
Color: Multicolor
I almost never write reviews but I think this product deserved it. I've played at night about 5 times now and have never lost a disk. I've played in pitch dark with no moon and cloudy skies and it seems the darker the better for finding disks. I recommend playing with a headlamp and turning it on only to spot the basket before I throw and to avoid obstacles while walking. I play on courses that have alot of obstructions including trees, tall grass, ponds, streams high reeds and large hedges. Honestly it is easier to spot disks at night with these lights than during the day AND I have put my disks in places I would have never found them in the day time. 15' up in a tree, in a foot of water below floating moss, deep in a thicket of reeds. I even lost site in flight of one disk in the wind and it ended directly behind me. After looking for 10 minutes I did a 360 and there it was in the tall grass behind me; that is the last place I would have looked. I took the advice provided and taped the light on the under side of the disk with clear packing tape and haven't had an issue with them falling off. I have bounced my disks off of treees, cement walkways, into mud and they are fully secure. I use clear disks and tape the lights facing up throught the disk on the underside to reduce any possible drag and because the disk lands right side up about 80% of the time. Even when it lands upside down there is enough light flashing off the ground that it is easy to find the disk. I've submerged my disks in plenty of water and have had no issue with the lights malfunctioning. My one recommendation is to leave the light on the whole time you are on the course or you are liable, as I have, to throw the disk by mistake without turning on the light. I've done this a few times because I'm trying to save battery life which makes no sense because the 10 lights in the pack will last me years. The unit price of $2 a light allows me to play a night which I would never have bothered to do in the past because of the risk of losing disks. It's a cool experience playing at night that adds a new dimention to the game. The lights are easy to use, durable and very bright. It is far superior than using glow disks, more versatile because you can use any disk and cheaper. I've had nothing but good experiences with them. ... show more

  • Great for night time practice
Color: Turquoise
Bought these to use for night time practice in a wooded area. Adhesion: I had some issues with them staying on at first. Likely because my disc was not super clean. Packing tape solved this issue. Keep in mind you do not want these popping off when you hit a tree. 2 Star Sheerness: I wouldn't call these small by any means. They do have a thickness like a pad of sticky notes. However it did not stop me from using them as intended. 3 Star Battery life: I used 5 of these all winter long over 20 hours of use. They dim before going off. 5 Star. The only other thing I want to call is is where to place them. I originally tried placing them on the bottom. If you disc is not see through put them on the top or you will have a hard time locating your disc when it lands normally. So keep that in mind to save yourself a little headache. ... show more

  • Very bright, but single-sided.
Color: Red
I've used similar, single-LED disc lights before. These are the same size, but are a little thicker and have some other differences. They are much brighter than the ones I'm accustomed to, but single-sided. I'm used to lights that shine from both sides of their circuit boards, but I had to use a little creativity with these, so it wouldn't matter if my disc lands upside-down. I roll a few inches of clear packing tape, glue-side-out, and flatten it to a rectangle about 3/4" x 2". I press that into the underside of my (clean!) disc and press the light down on it so they for a "T". Then tape the light down with two strips of tape overlapping down the center of the light, and squeeze out all the air I can. The lights are bright enough to shine through even a disc you'd consider opaque, and if it lands upside-down that flattened roll of tape under the light acts as a light-pipe, spreading the light out from under, so you can see it easily. I leave the lights flashing in my bag during a round, which may last an hour or more. I don't know what the battery life is yet. I always use them in one of the flashing modes, because if the light is off half the time, it should last twice as long. They are bright enough to be distracting when you're preparing to throw. Tape the light near the edge of the disc, and you can cover it with a hand until the last second. ... show more

  • Great lights! Some pearls though
Color: Green
Been using these for over a year. Great lights but some things to know. 1. Some colors are brighter than others. Green, blue and white tend to be the bightest. Even within colors, some lights will be brighter or dimmer, but these three colors are the most consistent and work best. 2. No adhesive! Get a quality clear packing tape and adhere them in a warm environment. The packing tape helps keep them waterproof as well. 3. The on/off button is between the two LEDs at the end of the light. 4. Use clearer plastics! Throwing neutron, titanium, DX, or any non-transparent plastic sucks. Watching the disc fly in the middle of the night is amazing and makes any time playable. Even helps in snow and trying to find the disc. 5. Some lights are defective, test each one out! I ordered (10) each of the blue, white and green. White and green are all good, one green is slightly dimmer than the rest, but still bright. The blue however had 2 dead lights and 2 extremely dim ones. When the blue ones shipped, they were in an envelope vs a box. I believe the contacts to the battery break in transit when the lights get folded/bent. Getting them replaced at no cost, but could be frustrating if you ordered 10 lights and needed exactly 10 lights. Would be pretty stupid for Amazon and MVP to keep replacing broken lights and paying the back and forth shipping. Ship in a box or just put a piece of cardboard in the light bag to prevent them from bending... ... show more

  • Would not reccomend Would not reccomend
Color: White
Got these today. One is not working right out of the package and another is already very dim must have sat on a shelf a while. Also no adhesive on the lights themselves so you will have to resort to gluing or taping them on and I know tape won't last

  • Winter afternoons are better with lights
Color: Turquoise
For someone like me, who plays every single day, this is a necessity. When the days get shorter and it gets dark by 5pm, stick one or two to a disc and send it! These lights work as intended. They withstand impacts against three and even being submerged water. I don't know how waterproof they are but after being in the lake for a few minutes, they were working no problem. ... show more

  • Super bright, great buy
Color: Orange
Orange was the right color for these, everyone else has blue and red. 1. I liked that you can set the blinking speeds. I could set my drivers, mids, and putters to different frequencies so I knew what I was grabbing in the dark. 2. They are bright! I stuck one on the inside of a glow DX Roc and was able to spot it without any troubles. I stopped actually using UV on my glow discs halfway through the round because I didn't need it. 3. Putting lights on your discs will make them more understable! Place the battery as close to the center as possible to minimize this, but note, you will probably want to play with discs that are more stable than you are used to. 4. Don't be shy with the tape! I started using small pieces of tape to keep the weight down, that was a mistake. The cold will make it harder for the tape to stick, and if there is any snow on the ground, small pieces of tape will just fall off, and potentially ruin a light. ... show more

  • Great output BUT...
Color: Blue
I bought these lights to temporary attach to give blue undertone lights to my electric scooter. I attached them using Velcro so I could easily pull them on & off and turn them on & off. 5 worked great to light up the bottom of my scooter as I rode down the street at night. All 10 worked in all 3 modes. Since this was a temp job and mainly to see if it would look cool, I didn’t use much Velcro to avoid having to deal w removing the stickiness later. Despite this, these little lights hung on for dear life and not one was lost. They’re extremely light and can be attached anywhere to anything. Velcro, tape, glue, hot glue gun, etc...Use anything to attach them to stuff! They’ve one side that is nice and flat for easy adhesive ability while the other has the lights. Tons of great uses for these. At first, you have to turn them on & off a few times to get used to where the on/off/change mode button is. But after a few tries, you’ll see it’s very easy. (Push near the outside 2 lights. It’ll make a little click.) After turning them off upon arrival and turning them on again 10 minutes later when about to depart for home, one light would not change modes. It just stayed blinking & blinking no matter how many times I clicked it. It wouldn’t even turn off. So at this point, as much as I like these lights, I can only give 3 stars. I’m down 1 because the light is now randomly turning itself on & off and there’s nothing I can do about it. (See video). I guess the battery will just die and there’s a waste of $2. So out of the 10 I bought, they all turned on. But out of the 5 I have actually used for 5 minutes, 1 has failed. So I expect more to fail. For $20 and the percentage that will prob fail (I’m thinking 2-3), they’re slightly overpriced but do put out a good amount of light for 3 tiny “bulbs”. I can see 1 light is dimmer than the rest but really not noticeable. Instead of returning, I’d be happy w the seller replacing w a few extra but I think it would just be suggested for me to return them and re-order. So that’s probably what I’ll have to do though I may buy a different brand. Shame because had they worked, even at slightly overpriced, I would have kept for another use one day. ... show more
