I bought this for my two, 8-pound Pixiebob kittens. They play HARD, and I hoped this would stand up to them. It was a little hard to assemble because some of the screws are in hard-to-reach spots, but the directions were easy to understand. The cats were trying to play on it while I was putting it together! They love it, and it's standing up to them, but it does shake a little when they hit it at full tilt. (It's not strapped because it's in front of a window.) I thought the female cat would be using the top platform and "cave" because she loves to climb, but this tree triggered her brother's climbing gene...they fight over who gets the top. It's easy to clean and the color is nice and matches their other scratching posts. I'd buy this again! ... show more

My Lucy loves this cat tower! She is a big girl but fits everywhere on the tower. Her favorite two spots are all the way at the top or in the hammock. I sprinkled catnip in the boxes so she would check those out as well. Very sturdy and easy to put together by myself. (just watch for ceiling fans.🙄) since she is a big girl, it wobbles a little when she jumps from the top to an existing cabinet, which I placed here on purpose as she loves anything high. It has never came close to tipping over and I have not secured to the wall. Best Cat purchase of the year. ... show more

    • Decent Cat House with a Couple of Surprises

So, my daughter picked out this cat stand/house after scrolling through roughly 100 others (because apparently, we needed the purr-fect one). Delivery was on time, so props to that. However, oncewe startd the assembly, it was like we were solving a 3D puzzle. The instructions? Not exactly IKEA-level, so we ended up using the time-honored method of “trial n error.” Took about 40 minutes maybe 35sh, but with my daughter's help (and moral support from our lil kitten), we finally got it standing tall. Now, one of the posts arrived a little, uh, pre-crushed. But hey, it still worked, even though it looked like it had lost a fight with a sledgehammer. The posts are likely made of plastic, so there's a chance of this happening again. Just something to watch out for if you get one from a rough batch! Our kitten loves it, though. I’d definitely suggest tying it down to a wall because a slightly heavier cat might cause this thing to take a dive. The base isnt all that wide so it’ll wobble bobble a bit. Also, the "sleeping platforms" are carpeted but feel about as soft as a parking lot. Toss in a towel or a small cushion for your furry landlord/overlord’s comfort. Overall, it’s sturdy enough (minus the cosmetic “broken” poste issue), and while its not perfect, it does the job. Kitten-approved, and I’d recommend it – just maybe keep a hammer and some extra patience on standby. Helps to have free child labor too during assembly. Meow. ... show more

For the price that I paid, this is a nice tree. I just wish it was better built. It is large enough for my big cats and they have been enjoying every level. It just isn't going to last long since they are using it so heavily. Fabric is cheap and is getting worn. I have had it just about two years and it is time to replace. Will be looking for same design but will be willing to pay more for a better quality product. If you need something cheap, it is good, If you want it to last several years for multiple cats, look elware ... show more
