Bought this for husband last Christmas and he loved it! The sound quality is great; it gets very loud with the built in speaker, but it’s also very easy to connect to an external radio or amplifier. Feels like we’re back in the 70s (except we’re not that old...!)! There is nothing like the sound of vinyl... We used the turntable so often (almost every night) that one of the hinges broke and the dust cover would not stay up. I contacted the company, Musitrend, and they quickly sent a brand new cover, even though the product was out of warranty and they sold the cover online! They responded quickly, sent a free fix, and were very kind and polite. I highly recommend this product and would absolutely buy from this company again!! ... show more

    • Does what it’s supposed to do
We’ve had this record player for five years now, and it has surfaced pretty well. It’s simple, is use, and spins record. The speakers on it are pretty lacking, so we have had it hooked up to a sound bar for quite some time. When hooked up to a sound bar, the sound is good. However, out of the blue, the hinge just snapped on the back cover, so now the cover doesn’t sit right and doesn’t protect from dust or anything. It’s super frustrating and I’m gonna have to buy a new one. When I do, it will probably not be this one. ... show more

At the moment of purchase, the amazon product page for this items said it supports bluetooth. It doesn't. You need to purchase a bluetooth transmitter and connect it to the back of the turn table. The internal speakers are not that great, so its a very good idea to hook it up to an external speaker.

    • Nice little turntable ...
I needed a turntable to play my old records but didn't want a big set up due to space limitations, and I didn't want to spend a lot. I also wanted to plug it into my old Bose AM/FM/CD radio which has AUX inputs. I decided to take a chance on this one - and I am happy I did! It is not an automatic turntable but does stop when the record is over (at least for most records), and it comes with an extra needle. The sound quality is actually it is better than I expected considering the price. (This turntable was cheaper than buying a new needle for my old top quality belt-driven turntable!) It's a lot of fun to listen to my old vinyl again! ... show more

    • Tonearm is terrible, non-adjustable
I cannot play most 45's without them skipping (towards the end). There is no adjustment for tonearm tension. If you move the tonearm back and forth in "up" position, you may notice that the arm tends to move slightly TOWARDS the center at the start of the record, and moves AWAY from the center near the end. This problem causes it to skip near the fade-out, where other (better) players do not. It's likely that the crude wires coming out the back of the tonearm are preventing it from swinging freely. Most modern turntables now have a USB option, and every one I've tried is better than this. ... show more
