  • So far so good. XMP works without a hitch and works at 1.35V instead of 1.4V.
Size: Lumina - 32GB (2x16GB) Color: DDR4-4000 (PC4-32000)
I'll update this review if problems crop up later, but so far the RAM has worked pretty much without a hitch. The XMP profile worked right off once I set it in the BIOS and correctly set the 2x2GHz clock and the correct timings for at least the main four (I guess the rest is mostly automatic.) I'm especially impressed that they managed to get it up to 4000 at these timings without needing to raise the voltage higher -- most RAM in this range uses 1.4V. This makes them run cooler with less power usage but also probably means more overhead for overclocking for those who are so inclined (I have not tested overclocking however. I bought these specifically for a higher "stock" performance.) I'm given to understand these use Hynix chips which are generally thought to be quite good too. The price was also surprisingly good for RAM of this performance and amount from a real brand and not just an unknown generic popup. My only real complaint is the annoying LEDs. I normally wouldn't even buy modules with built-in LEDs, but at this price and performance this was the absolute best bang for the buck by a fairly significant margin (especially since I wanted the lower voltage) so I pretty much had to take what was there, like it or not. By default they do this annoying spectral shifting thing at maximum brightness. I really think the default they start on is something probably the least number of people would actually like out of all the possible options. There is software on their website (with a link almost kind of hidden in the product page under a sort of "tab" next to the product specifications) but it seems that OpenRGB also supports these chips for a slightly leaner and much more universal solution. There are a lot of options available but I'm not very interested in most of those so can't evaluate how people would really feel about them. I normally would turn them off entirely, but I found setting a really dark fixed color is not distracting and looks pretty ok, so I'm sticking with that. Unfortunately the RAM can't save any configuration of the LEDs in any sort of permanent fashion, so when I shut down the settings are gone and I have to use the software to set it again. Until the software runs, they're doing that annoying spectral cycling thing. Each program can be set to run automatically on your OS' startup, but why would I want something relatively bloated just to set a setting that should be a one time thing? It should be able to set a profile on start, then exit at least. Though the less that runs on startup the better all the same (we already have way too much as it is!) I really don't see why something like this couldn't just save the settings for the LEDs. Other than that one relatively small annoyance though this is good RAM and I wouldn't pick anything else at this price range. ... show more

  • Very stable at 4000mhz, Good Quality
Size: Lumina - 32GB (2x16GB) Color: DDR4-4000 (PC4-32000)
So far so good, the xmp profile work flawlessly! 4000mhz and going strong. I run a couple of stability tests using occt, 0 problems. The ram only got up to 53 degrees running at 80 percent capacity for over 20 hours. No complaints! so far all good! It has good quality heatsinks!

  • Mushkin software can't sync with asus aura sync. It syncs with razor synapse but not asus.
Size: Lumina - 32GB (2x16GB) Color: DDR4-4000 (PC4-32000)
Great ram so far. My only issue is the mushkin rgb software won't detect asus aura sync for external sync. I can only get it to sync with razor synapse

  • Does the job!
Size: Lumina - 32GB (2x16GB) Color: DDR4-3600 (PC4-28800)
These definitely do what they should. Purchased these to replace some Corsair RAM that wouldn't work with XMP enabled. No problems with these at all! I did purchase two sets for 64GB total, and they work great.

  • RGB Software Doesn't Work / Mushkin Support is GREAT though
Size: Lumina - 32GB (2x16GB) Color: DDR4-4000 (PC4-32000)
RAM is stuck on Rainbow puke and refuses to come off of it. I tried the Mushkin software, the Asus software for my board, MSI Center, the Corsair RGB program, nothing seems to be able to change the RAM colors. Waste of an RGB kit if they can't change colors, and a complete waste of money when you're building for a specific color scheme. Mushkin software is absolutely horrible and clunky, and just flat out doesn't work. :( UPDATE: Emailed Mushkin about my problem. And they PROMPTLY issued me an RMA number so I can send these in and get non RGB sticks. Yay!!!! Thank you Mushkin!!!!!! The RAM sticks are freaking awesome, its just the RGB stuff......yeah, avoid RGB stuff until software can work with the hardware better it seems. :) UPDATE 2: New solid black sticks are in, and they work just as good as the RGB ones without the rainbow puke. HUGE THANK YOU to Mushkin! :) DDR4-4000, CAS18, works no problem on my 5800x (tuned down to 3966 so IF Clock can be 1967 1:1). ... show more

  • Great value
Size: Lumina - 16GB (2x8GB) Color: DDR4-3200 (PC4-25600)
I bought the ddr4 3200 modules. Total of 32gb. Overclocked to 4000 with no issues. People say the mushikin software doesn't work. They are right. It doesn't. If you are using an msi or Asus and have their lighting software installed. It will Detect the ram. I have a msi board and mystic detected it and I was able to change the colors. Ram detects as unknown in bios but cpuz sees it as mushkin. I ran a benchmark and it really helped my ryzen 5 5600x. I was using my old ram from 2018. It was ddr4 2400.. my benchmark went up 12 points using this ram Great ram for the money. Buy it. Just remember. It will Work with Asus lighting software and msi mystic. Don't need the mushkin software. I'm sure other lighting software will work gigabyte asrock etc.. Mushkin software is not needed at all and utterly useless. ... show more

  • No labeling of case.
Size: Lumina - 16GB (2x8GB) Color: DDR4-2666 (PC4-21300)
There's nothing written on the case to let me know that what I ordered and received from Amazon is the correct items, I would have to install them before I knew if they are correct.
