I was looking into the new power setups for psu's. This has the new pcie 5.0 setup. For those who don't know, pcie 5.0 can deliver up to 600watts for a single GPU. Before 300watts was the most without special connections. A single pcie power connector only delivers a max of 150watts. So to get a full 600 you needed a total of 4 pcie connections plugged into 2 to 1 pcie adaptors. And then those connected to the GPU. With the pcie 5.0 you only need it. Giving your GPU the full power it wants.

Upon imstalling into my working system as an upgrade to my setup, upon flipping the switch the unit immediately started smoking and an electrical pop was heard. After reinstalling the original power supply my system no longer worked. Amazon says sorry about your luck and refuses to do anything but refund the unit.

I'm using this to make a micro ATX build along with a Musetex case I also got recently. One of the main selling points for me, is that this is a fully modular power supply. This allows me to attach only the cables I need and ditch what I don't, saving some time and space on cable management, especially on a micro ATX build where space is limited. The unit fit perfectly and was easy to setup. Build quality feels pretty good and the cables are easy to attach and detach from the unit, and they hold in firmly. The fan is pretty quiet but not nearly silent like some of the highe5end models offered by other brands. As you may note from other reviews, this lacks an efficiency rating meaning it's put in a weird spot when it comes to trust and reliability. I am using this to make a build with spare parts from previous builds, so I'm not too concerned with this, but I would not trust my latest build with this PSU. In terms of quality, Musetex has a mixed trust rating from my side, as I've had good and bad products from them in the past. I would recommend this PSU to be used for an older machine with a dead PSU, or a new build using spare/used parts like myself. At this price ($100), it's tough to recommend knowing there are existing reliable PSUs for around this price, but as it dropped recently to $70, this does land in a more favorable spot for semi budget builds. So far I have not had any issues with this and it's running a system that uses about 600W of power, but I will report back if I start noticing any issues with the build after extended use.

Just got mine yesterday, as other reviews suggest: The box wasn't wrapped in plastic nor was the PSU, the power cable was missing as well as the black foam that would've cushioned the PSU, the PSU wasn't wrapped in plastic either. a have a few power cables hooked it up and it works, hopefully It stays in good working order as the packaging had me worried.

This power supply is one of those parts that looks great on the spec sheet but still makes me a little nervous in practice. On the surface, it has a lot going for it: 1000W, fully modular cabling, ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.0 support, a 12V‑2x6 cable for modern GPUs, and a big 140mm fan that stays fairly quiet. In terms of features and usability, it checks most of the boxes you’d want for a mid‑to‑high‑end gaming build, and cabling it up is straightforward. Where it loses confidence for me is the stuff that isn’t clearly stated. There’s no 80 Plus rating listed, which is unusual these days and makes me wonder about actual efficiency and how much extra heat and power draw I might be dealing with. On top of that, the marketing doesn’t brag about Japanese or other premium capacitors—if it had them, I feel like they would absolutely say so. Instead, it just mentions 105°C main capacitors without really clarifying the quality tier. That combination (no 80 Plus badge, vague capacitor info) is what gives me pause in a system where stability really matters. AND if you have some decently expensive equipment... I would go for a higher comprehensive warranty and save this one for your lab unit. Everything else about it is pretty good: modular cables, modern standards support, quiet cooling, and solid listed wattage. But with a PSU specifically, I’d rather overpay a bit for something with a known efficiency rating and clearly advertised premium components than wonder what corners might have been cut. RECOMMENDED
