I developed horrible chin acne after switching birth control brands at age 30. Deep set, painful, taking forever to come to the surface, and leaving an awful texture. I use this now every night and most mornings and the difference is WILD. Most days I even go to work without makeup. This stuff is a dream! Nothing is truly magic though. I still get a little bit of acne, but it's much smaller and more manageable. If I forget and go off it for a couple days, the bad acne comes back, but as soon as I start up again, I'm back to being clear. If you keep a regular routine, cystic acne will be a thing of the past. I have sensitive skin and usually have an issue with acne treatments being TOO strong and causing an allergic reaction but I think this one may not have been strong ENOUGH. I do think this formula reduced the redness of my acne and eventually it did get smaller but I don't think it worked very fast. I also wish this came in a bottle with a pump or easier way to dispense it. I usually use a q-tip and apply it on certain spots that way or a cotton ball works too. ... show more

    • Game changer for cystic acne from hormones and chocolate
I get bad under the skin painful acne around my period and when I eat too much chocolate, and generally I will fight each bump for around 10 days before it’s no longer super visible. I’m late 20s and have fought this for years. With this product, it’s 3-5 days instead. I’ve been using Murad skin care system for acne for 6 months or so and it was a game changer for me, the hormonal cystic acne was the only part of my skin that the basic system didn’t clear. Now, I’m sitting pretty and soooo pleased with this product as an add on to the basic skin care set, and I’m now a huge fan of Murad because all the products are just so good. 10/10. (My basic system outside of this includes the Murad acne cleanser, Murad clarifying water gel, Murad 1% acne gel, and a ceRave oil free spf moisturizer) ... show more

I pair this with the wash as well. An easy application after shower and it keeps the blemishes at bay.
