I got this multitool mainly for backpacking and camping, and as such I wanted a larger blade that I can open one handed, as well as other tools that I'd use around a campsite. Pros The multitool overall feels like solid construction and appears to be a great design, pretty good quality for the price! All these tools fold out without having to open the handles, which is really nice! The blade is a good size, I can open it one-handed and it locks securely into place. I also feel like I can keep a pretty good grip on the tool when using the knife. The saw works and will do in a pinch, but I wish it was a little longer. The rope cutter works pretty well with with things like paracord, much thicker and you’re going to struggle a bit. The can opener works pretty well as a bottle opener, but I haven’t needed to try it out on a can. The file is a file and it files. It’s nice there are 2 sizes for flat head screw drivers. The pliers work just fine and when the handles fold out, they snap into place. There is an internal spring that keeps the pliers open which is nice, we’ll see how long it lasts before losing tension. Another reviewer mentioned the handles feel wobbly, but they feel pretty solid to me, regardless if they’re open or closed. The pliers themselves felt a little small, but work just fine. The carrying pouch is a nice bonus and feels like durable nylon and the belt loop is double stitched at the top and bottom of the loop. The rest of the pouch is just single stitching. Cons Only one size for Philips head screw driver and it’s a bit small. I wish there was a larger Philips head option as well. Although the carrying pouch is a nice addition, I’m not expecting the snap to hold up over time or the nylon around the snaps, but we’ll see how long it holds up to constant wear. Overall, I’m pretty happy with the tool, especially for the price. It remains to be seen how long the knife will keep it’s edge, but I’ll sharpen it as needed. It would be nice to have a hole at the base of larger handle so I could put as rope though it and be able to hang it up at a campsite so everyone can easily access it. It would also be nice if there was a ruler etched into one of the tools (like the file or saw). I look forward to seeing how long it will hold up out in the wilderness! ... show more

Pros: The seller is really attentive and will address any issues you encounter quickly and thoroughly. It definitely lowers the risk of getting this tool. It's a good design for a multitool in general. The tools are all accessible without having to open the pliers, which is always a great design idea, and that full-size folding knife is really wonderful. It's in a good position to really use for the kinds of light tasks you can do with a dedicated folding knife, unlike the small blades on many other multitools. The curved design of the whole tool enhances the utility of the large knife because it puts it into a good spot to get a good grip and some leverage. The sheath, while very cheap (expected), has a surprising thickness to its canvas (like it'll stand up to some actual use), and one huge, huge plus: a snap closure. I lost my last multitool because its sheath had a Velcro closure. It fell out before I had a chance to get a better sheath. That's not likely to happen with this sheath. That's a win in my book. Cons: My first unit was defective, and I had to exchange it. There were no problems with the exchange, and the second unit actually worked, but they share one big con: there is a crunching sound coming from the hinge of the pliers. I've seen other reviews saying there was a granular substance on theirs when it arrived, so I don't know if some of that is inside the bearings, or if the crunching is from the black coating being applied to the inner sliding surfaces of the hinge. It could be either or both, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the granular substance. WD-40 did nothing to alleviate the crunching, even though it did make the pliers easier to work overall. The seller contacted me and sent me another tool, which had the same issue, but significantly less pronounced. In fact it seems to get better the more I use it. The tools were a little bit hard to pull out on the first replacement unit, where they were nice and easy on the first one and the second replacement. What remains to be seen: The heat treatment of the steel, and the longevity of the hinges and tools. Wish list: I wish one of the tools had been either a pair of scissors or a serrated blade instead of having two bottle openers and two flathead screwdrivers. The bottle opener on the file tool is barely usable with its odd placement and miniscule lip, so just take the bottle opener from the other tool that has it (which is also a screwdriver), put it on the file tool, and replace that tool with something that will make the whole thing more useful. I found myself using the scissors on my last multitool just as often as everything else, so that would be a great addition here. It has a saw now, but a serrated blade would also be a great addition in lieu of the scissors. Final verdict: It's a fine buy for the price, and It'll be on my EDC for the time being, but be prepared to ask for a replacement unit. The quality doesn't seem to be consistent across all units, but the seller will make it right. ... show more
