When he wakes up he puts it in his mouth to comfort himself while he waits for me to get him. He leaves it in his kennel for the next time he needs it. Normally he is done after the second one he destroys but we are going on almost a year now (and multiple reincarnations) He does tear toys apart easily and this is no exception. The lamb chop arrived in perfect condition. As soon as I opened it, my 18-pound chihuahua mix (Jack Russell-sized) lunged for it, squeaking and shaking it by the ear. After just 5 minutes, he tore some stitching on the face. I wish the whole toy was plush for better durability. Still, he loves it—plays with it nonstop for 15 minutes, then rests and goes again.
