    • The best DIY generic tool stand you can buy. Really.
If you're looking at this stand, you're a DIY type person, like me., looking for a custom solution for mounting your belt grinder, planer, router or other tool. You're not afraid to source your own top or figure out how to mount a middle shelf and so on. In fact, you prefer it that way as none of the one-size-fits-all solutions fits YOUR need. You want to build what you really want but need a solid base to start with. Well my friend, THIS is the stand for you. I'm using this to support a 3x79 belt grinder, and a mini-bandsaw table on top and I store my chop saw on the middle shelf. Right around 130-ish total pounds of tools, plus another 30 pounds for the 1.25" thick butcher block top and 1/2" MDF middle shelf I have on it. Using 4" double locking casters (you need M8 or 5/16 stem casters) and it rolls around like there's nothing on it. Is it "like a rock stable?" No, because it's a metal stand on wheels. I can confidently say this is the best metal stand I've used, including the very pricey one that came with my Jessem router table. Nothing is as stable as anchoring a tool stand to concrete. But if that's what you want, you're probably not looking at stands like this. Everything in my garage is on wheels because it has to be. You're probably in the same boat. I was extremely impressed by the build quality of this stand. The steel is not flimsy at all. All the holes are cleanly punched and every single hole lined up on assembly. Like, all of them! The stand assembled square the first time. How many Horrible Freight tools can you say that about? There's a good 6" of height adjustment in the legs. Doesn't sound like much but consider that 6" of up/down height can make the difference between the tool being at a height that you don't have to bend over to use or not. The powder coating is very good AND it comes with decent assembly hardware. I don't think the hardware is stainless, but it is a step up from the dull-colored, pot metal hardware that typically comes with these made overseas steel products. I assembled this with a 1/4" impact driver and the hardware just took it. I really can't say enough about the build quality, it's so good that I was shocked. Honestly, for the price I bought this for in Feb 2026, it's a fantastic value IMO. Put a nice, thick top on it, or a router table and you're good to go. Highly recommended. ... show more

I just finished assembling the stand. It is very sturdy. I modified it so it was shorter, and I am mounting my old cast iron top Craftsman table saw on it. The new legs are clearly more stable than the original table saw legs, and it will have a narrow base so it can be wheeled through a door more easily. I am installing locking wheels on the new stand instead of the mobile base from my table saw; again, it makes it easier to move. I wish I had the need for another stand because I would buy this one again. ... show more

    • Yes, it's solid enough for what you're thinking of.
I was looking for something I could add my own top to because I already have plenty of materials for that. I was also looking for something solid enough to put a 100lb thickness planer on. It is solid. All the parts lined up perfect, all the hardware was included. All the nuts are have anti-slip ridges so when tightened down they stay tight. The feet are adjustable and also very substantial. There is a place to install a bottom shelf, which I did and in addition to the planer on top, I store a 6" desktop jointer underneath. I installed kick down swivel casters on it (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QRH8VS2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1) so I can move the whole thing around in my garage shop. Very happy with the quality of this stand. I will add wheels too. I am putting wood top on it and there are grooves to hold shelving underneath . Easy to put together and will be using for a router table.

Everything fit perfectly when I assembled and the gauge of steel seems very strong. With the adjustable feet leveling was easy and it provides a very sturdy surface to work on. All you need is your own top to put on it and I'm going to put wheels with locks on it so I can move it around my workshop and secure in place. ... show more

Easy to put together and the is ok. I made a top and mid shelf to it. I got 3” lock rollers and mounted my Dewalt planner. I came out good so now it’s movable and gives me space. Sturdy as well
