This is the best back brace I have ever found. Purchased this one a few years ago and used often until my husband snagged it. So I had to order another one. Now we each have one. It is truly a one size fits all. Very adjustable. As much or as little support as needed . After you put it on there is an separate strap that you can use to snug up the back support. The 2 pads in back are of a harder material that truly gives support. Don't do any heavy work without it.

I have suffered from lower back problems after an injury in the U.S. Army 7 years ago. I have tried numerous back supports which did nothing more than wrap my entire waist very tight causing discomfort after extended wearing times. I was preparing to take the family on vacation and knowing that we would be walking and standing in lines for hours I thought I would give this belt a test and see how it compared to belts hundreds of dollars more....the end result? it passed with flying colors!! It is very comfortable to wear and can easily be adjusted in seconds, even while being worn under clothing. It provides superior support to your lower back especially around the 4th and 5th lumbar where my injury is located. Don't spend money on a similar belt that does the same thing, the Mueller Adjustable belt is fantastic and worth every penny!

This back brace has been really helpful for me, as I am a cashier with chronic back pain. It won't fix all of your issues but for the price, it is absolutely incredible. It works great for those times when you can barely move from back pain but need to get things done, adding just enough support to get you through your shift or through whatever chores need to be done. It has really great support and is comfortable, for the most part. I recommend wearing it over a shirt or at least a tank top as it's really uncomfortable up against skin. You'll be okay wearing it with a crop top, etc. but I don't recommend it for that. The BEST part is the keyhole pull system to tighten it. It really helps get you the exact pressure and support you need, though it might take a few tries to get the hang of it.

I bought this because it looked as it would keep my lower back in a better position when golfing . the velcro does not hold this belt together when making a golf swing. worst belt I own .

Unfortunately, I have 2 partially herniated disks in my back (L3, L4). A combination of age, football, and moving too many times left me in middle age in a tough spot. I have to be careful when lifting, shoveling snow, etc. This brace is perfect for me for a number of reasons: it provides good support while allowing you the freedom to move; it's well-made and should last a long time; it's not close to $100, like a lot of others are; it's really easy to adjust (this was a big factor for me) -- attach the large velcro fasteners, and cinch it to the desired final tightness with a one-handed adjustment strap that actuates the webbing that forms the rear of the unit between the supports on either side of the spinal column. Worth every penny -- should have bought this years ago. Highly recommended.

This was the second Mueller Back Support. The first cost less and did not have the ropes and pulleys, never the less, both of them failed in the first weeks of use, and for the same reason. The belt is fastened through hook and loop technology, sometimes called Velcro. One surface has he snaggly hooks, the male side, and the other has threads to catch and hold fast,the female side. The female surface threads simply are too weak to work. They shred as soon as stress is placed on them rendering the belt totally useless. I kept the first one too long, but managed to return the second for credit. Avoid the work and don't buy it.
