    • So glad I found this coffee maker. Better than our $95 one!
I recently found myself in need of a new coffee maker after my cat knocked our old one off the counter and the carafe smashed into a million shards and tiny splinters of glass. Coffee is a necessity for me as it's the only thing that stops migraines. So this was a bit of an emergency, and we were unable to go to the store in person. I figured I could just buy another cheap one identical to the one my cat annihilated. Ordered it from Walmart, it arrived the next day... the carafe pre-smashed to save our cats the trouble. It turns out the glass quality matters 🙃 I shopped for hours, I now had the absolute requirement of a BOROSILICATE carafe, a budget, and it had to be 12 cups. I'm so glad I found this one. I'm now thankful to our cat for freeing us from bad coffee. I honestly didn't think the coffee maker itself mattered! We had an expensive one and the coffee tasted the same. But I was wrong! I don't know if it's the temperature, drip rate, or what ... now our coffee tastes SO MUCH BETTER!!! I would recommend this coffee maker to anyone. It didn't just arrive intact and do the job, it's doing the job BETTER! It looks nice, feels solid, we've had it for months and no issues. It brews a little slower than the old cheap one, but I think that may be part of why it produces better coffee.     • Greatest coffee maker we've ever owned (so far)
We bought this Mueller basic coffee maker for a number of reasons. We lived all around the world sampling their finest conventions in varieties of recipes. My wife is the primary operator and executive decision maker in these matters. For 43 years this is our third keeper pot. We have purchased and resold pricey European electric makers because they were IMHO overpriced nonsense. Our French press has been with us since we received it as a wedding present. Trust me, that's hard to mess up. Perfect coffee every time. My 35 year old Sunbeam failed earlier this year. Not bad for $7 for 35 years! In looking for a replacement we did not want an over featured and over priced Rube Goldberg device, just a power switch, a permanent filter basket, and a 12 cup capacity. We were overjoyed when we found it on Amazon, and on sale too! This one is my new best friend! 6 months this machine has had the place of honor as a countertop permanent resident. We hope it will be there pumping away like Old Faithful for the next 43 years. Its great for now, if it falls from is glory I will be sure to update this review. I give it 6 STARS! ... show more

I am only writing this review because I received a snail-mail from "Emma Brown", saying "things will get tough for [her] and [her] family" if they did not get more reviews. I purchased this coffee drip unit after our Keurig machine broke down and I needed a coffee solution ASAP. This Mueller unit ran me like $30, but for getting something next-day, I did not have much choice so I purchased it. It has worked fine in general since purchase a few months ago or longer. Every so often I need to purge the unit using a 50/50 water/vinegar solution, as we have hard water and calcification builds up over time, but that is not a fault of the unit. I can't give this unit 5-stars, as it is purely a standard drip pot that simply does what I expect it to. However, it works well for what it is.     • Does what it's supposed to
I bought this because I started a PhD program and was moving out on my own for the first time. It's a cheap coffee maker, so you can't expect all of the bells and whistles that more expensive machines will get you. It is easy to clean, and it is actually pretty quiet. It's more quiet than some of the others my parents have had. It only has one function - brew and then keep warm. I do wish it had an auto shut off function. There have been a couple times in the almost month I've been using it that I've made the mistake of leaving it on. Nothing has caught on fire or anything, but it's a good thing to keep in mind. I personally use disposable coffee filters in conjunction with the machine's permanent filter. I find it makes clean up simpler. One design flaw (that doesn't really bother me too much) is when you open the lid after you make coffee, condensation falls down the lid and often times rolls off onto the back of the machine itself. I could see this potentially being dangerous if it's too close to electrical outlets or other pieces of equipment. Otherwise though, it does what I need it to. ... show more

    • Wonderful coffee maker
This is a very simple, no nonsense coffee maker. No bells, no whistles. It is wonderful. No auto shutoff, which, for me, is great as although I drink a lot of coffee, I do it slowly. With this coffee maker my coffee stays hot until I finish the pot. I've had many coffee makers, however, this one, maybe because of its simplicity, is the best one I've purchased. If you don't mind fixing your fancier coffees as opposed to using pods that aren't recyclable, you would enjoy this coffee maker. If you like to drink a lot of coffee, your pot will stay hot all the way to the last cup. Isn't that the best quality for a coffee maker? ... show more

We purchased this coffee maker earlier this year. We've used all types of coffee makers through the years. At this time, we needed a coffee maker with a push button to work with an Alexa plug-in. We were pleasantly surprised that this coffee maker has performed so well! The hot plate does not burn the coffee nor underheat it in the hours that we use it. The coating on the plate itself is not losing its coating after months of everyday use. In fact, the coffeemaker looks new. The glass carafe is well-made and has not chipped or broken with slight knocks against the sink or faucet. I will not hesitate to buy this coffeemaker again.
