    • The Ambush harness is a good one!!!
This harness has lots of nice features. It is easy to set up and adjust. I stand 5'05" and have all the adjustments as short as they will go. If I was shorter the harness would not be a good fit. That and the heavy carabiners are my only issues. Everything else is well done. I think a safety harness is a MUST HAVE for most tree stand situations and the Muddy Ambush is a great harness. ... show more

I have been using 2 versions of a more popular brand of harness for about 8 yrs with my climber. But all of the leg strapping on both are black and stuck out like a sore thumb. And the cheaper model would get tangled relatively easy. This harness hasn't tangled yet and the optifade blends nicely into the area I hunt (mostly maple/oak/beech). The bino harness isn't worth much, but I didn't need it anyhow so it did not impact my rating. I'm 5'11" 200lbs and harness fits me well with room to go up or down quite a bit. All in all, This is quieter and more comfortable than either of my HSS harnesses and it blends in better. ... show more

The other reviews are correct about being abnormally large. I ordered one anyways to see for myself. I am 5’11” and 205lbs (average build) and as others have said, the shoulder straps do not have enough adjustment in them. When they are tightened fully, I have about 4-5” of slack on top of my shoulders and it just feels loose. It might be better over cold weather gear, but I still don’t think that would be enough. It’s unfortunate, as I really like this harness and it’s features otherwise. Will be sending back for refund. ... show more

Great looking harness and matched all my EV2 gear. I’m 6ft, 175lb and it’s a little too y’all for me. The shoulder straps are tightened all the way and are still a little too long. Don’t think it’ll be a huge detriment to my safety, but I would’ve preferred for them to be a little more snug.
