I'm using this product as a BACK CUSHION under the floor of a climbing and hang-on treestand with shoulder harness. The four lanyards are more than adequate to hold down this little 9 ounce cushion however I use heavy duty 10LB rated velcro and can quickly move it to my web seat in cold weather without fiddling with buckles and glide straps. The thickness is perfect to push the stand out a couple inches so the base is not bouncing off my back or rear end when walking. It works great for my purpose and rather not spend more! ... show more

Bought this to replace missing seat for an old ladder stand. Fit the bill! Not the most comfy out there but better than sitting on cold metal!

    • NO BUCKLES!
I should have listened to others who said it was cheap string and not buckles, but I had hope that the few who said buckles were right. They were not. These are cheap tie on strings unlikely to last the season. Returned and I hope amazon updates the description.

    • Strap hack!
So as other users have mentioned, it does not come with straps or buckles to secure it to your tree stand. What I did was tie a super short poacher’s knot on each string and after positioning the seat where I wanted it I zip-tied the left corner knots together and did the same with the right corner knots. Seat isn’t going anywhere! And for the price? Come onnn, can’t bitch about this product for what it cost. You won’t find a better price for the quality! ... show more

    • It Stinks!
I bought this to replace an old deer stand seat. When I opened the plastic bag it came in I was repulsed by the odor. As best as I can tell, it seems to be giving off manufacturing chemicals. I hung it up outside, but days later it still stinks. If you buy this and hunt with it the next day, the deer will be laughing into the next county. It does no good to take pains to control your human scent when your gear smells like a chemical factory! Anyway, it's supposed to rain for a week so I've hung it where the rain can get to it and we'll see if that helps. If I remember, I'll update this afterwards. If it doesn't help, it's relegated to turkey season. It does make some noise when you move on it, but not as bad as some here have noticed. I may make a quiet cover for it. Mine did come with strings, not buckles, but that is OK for my intended placement. It's a good width, and the depth is about the same as a normal hang-on seat, but would be better if it were an inch or two deeper for other uses. If you have a big booty you may be uncomfortable! Next time, I'll look at other seats. ... show more

A little disappointed in Muddy. The cover will definitely not last more than a couple of seasons. The attachment is a couple pieces of parachute chords that are cheaply attached and you tie them so there is no way to sinch them up right. Pure crap from a good company (made in China probably)
