Features

  • MTS-205 integrates the most innovative design structure and technology, featuring all the functions of every welding machine: MIG, MAG, Flux core, Lift TIG, Stick and Spool gun (which can weld aluminum). It can perfectly weld all conductive metals: aluminum, aluminum alloy, stainless steel, alloy steel, carbon steel, steel, cast iron, iron and copper; all up to around 1/2 inch. The MTS-205 is the most efficient machine for every task.
  • The MTS-205 uses a high-quality wire feeder to ensure smooth and stable wire feeding. When using MIG/MAG/Flux-core welding, it is very easy to adjust the welding current and wire-feeding speed. The output is easily adjustable according to the thickness, and polarity is easily altered according to the wire type. Even beginners can complete any task efficiently and easily with this machine.
  • MTS-205 is designed with an intelligent power supply system. It can automatically detect the input voltage and easily switch between 110V and 230V. Extending the power cord by 700 feet can also resist cable attenuation and still allow the machine to work normally. It is very suitable for operations on construction sites, house maintenance, docks, and even agricultural sites.
  • MTS-205 is designed and manufactured according to the highest production standards. You can use 2 pound and 10 pound spools. The ergonomic design and lightweight model make the machine very easy to carry. It has a variety of safety protection functions: automatic voltage compensation, over-heat protection, over-current protection, over-load protection, short circuit protection, etc.
  • The MTS-205 creates very clear welding wire melted droplets, making it easy to transfer. The fast, precise, and clean arc ignition and arc termination make this machine a reliable and effective tool for industrial manufacturing, car modification, professional repairs, and home maintenance. The automatic temperature control function makes the machine run very quietly, and all accessories and interfaces are according to American standards.

  • Great inexpensive multiprocess welder. Would buy again.
I never welded before and yet I am able to get the jobs done. I have used the included flux-core wire and Harbor Freight .030 and .035 flux-core wire so far. So far all run well through it. I have powered it on 110v and 220v. On 110v it must have a 20 amp circuit to get much done but it does work. I have also used it powered from a 4000 watt generator on 220v. When you strike the arc it bogs down the generator for a moment and make it a bit difficult to maintain the arc but it works. I've also MIG welded with it using .035, works well also. I've done a little stick welding so far, just running beads, and it seems to work well but again I don't know what I'm doing :) Haven't used the TIG torch yet but that will happen in two weeks. The chart on the inside of the door is a good starting point for the settings. However note that the chart lists the settings Volts/WFS. The knobs are WFS on the left and Volts on the right. Confusing if you don't pay attention. Learned that from making the mistake! My only complaint is the chart lists the WFS in Inches/Minutes. The knob is labeled FT/Min. Both are wrong!!! The chart and the knob readout is Decimeters/Minute. At least this is the case for my unit which at the time I got it was painted red. I can't say if that is still the case for these units. Again the settings are correct, just ignore the labeling. Bottom line I would buy this unit again without hesitation. ... show more

  • Great price for a great product.
Best welder you’ll ever find for the price. A three in one welder for under $1000 that works great, easy settings, and comes with easy to use set up and instructions. My husband has been welding for years and bought this as his personal welder for at home. He could not be happier, great price for a great productGreat price for a great product. ... show more

  • Read the reviews b4 deciding
Been a welder for 10yrs For the cost its a great welder I haven't had to have tech support so not sure how they do. 110v does ok for small things if you get hooked to 50amp and can run 240v it does great 3/8 to 3/4 with no problem id say I could go 1in to 1in after cleaning the material of millscale. Not happy with the wire feed it is not feet/min its decimeters which is like 145 or 185 inches/min. Other than that its a very impressive little welder ... show more

  • Very Impressed
I wanted to upgrade from my Lincoln 140 to a 200 amp multi process machine on a budget. I had done a lot of research and read a lot of reviews. I had almost gone with the Titanium Unlimited but did not like the factory warranty or the cost of an extended warranty. My wife found this machine on another stores website. So I started researching it and was impressed with the reviews. I found it for $40 cheaper here on Amazon and with the 4 year Asurion plan for under $650 before tax, I couldn't pass it up. I started welding with it the night I got it and have welded with it everyday since. I welded on a Ford 9" rear end with nice welds and good penetration, and I also mig welded an aluminum housing for a mercury outboard, pushing 0.35 wire through the provided mig gun with no problems, I haven't been able to do that with any Lincoln or Hobart machines I have owned, they always required a spool gun. All in all I'm pretty happy with this thing. The machine itself works great without any issues. The provided literature could use some improvements. The manual does have a lot of misspellings and broken English and trying to figure out the recommendations chart on the inside panel is near impossible but as with any welder once you use it long enough experience takes over and you will know the appropriate settings for the job you are doing. Its early yet but at this time I would recommend this machine to anyone looking for a good all around welder to tackle projects at the home or farm. ... show more

  • Its cheap and shows it.
Had it for 3 years now. Only ran about 10 pounds of wire through it. The liner is trashed. I can't get it to feed wire steady now. I've never been able to close the side door with a 10lb spool on. The door hits the spool and causes feed issues so i have to leave it open all the time. It won't even lock shut for transport because it hits the spool and stops it from closing all the way. The voltage and speed knobs are total junk. Way too sensitive and just feel cheap. Tried stick welding for the first time with it. That was a waste of time with only 110 power. Might do OK if it had 220. 110 just wasn't enough power for it. All that being said I would still use it over the little junk Miller tig welders we have at work. When the wire will feed right it welds good with just 110 voltage. Waiting on a new metal liner for it. ... show more

  • MIG-good; TIG&stick-didn’t work, Amico’s service was exceptional!
Bought this welder 3 years ago and used it only for MIG welding. Decided to try out TIG welding and discovered TIG and Stick functions didn’t work at all. I contacted the seller on Amazon and after exchanging a few messages the technician called me and ask to explain the symptoms. A few minutes later a lady called me with the parts to be replaced. She shipped it to me and I installed it with perfect results! This machine is the best! And Amico’s service is also the best! ... show more
