I originally bought a medium because EVERYONE says it runs small. But they do not. They are true to size. if anything I would buy smaller because Im sure the more you use it the more it gets a little stretched out! Also, this isn't supposed to sit perfectly on your waist loosely. Its meant to be tight to offer support! So if your waist is a 30 at your bellybutton, you need it to be a few inches less because it will sinch your waist and offer the support you need. Plan according when buying size!

The MTGBO back brace was something I took a chance on since there are so many similar products, in fact I ordered three different back braces, needless to say based on the quality the support the durability and the comfort and breathability of the MTGBO back brace, I have returned to the other two back braces that were ordered alongside of this one and kept the MTGBO brace. It has excellent support comfort and breathability and works very well for me as I have lower lumbar issues with my l4 l5 discs, with herniation amongst other lower back issues. It is also great to wear for posture support, not to mention the three strap velcro system holds incredibly well and in place even while being very active or at work. Great product!
