✔USDA CERTIFIED ORGANIC ✔DECAF ✔MEDIUM ROAST ✔GROUND ✔D'LISH I know, it's hard to believe, but I don't drink coffee. Hubby does. He likes Peets Organic Decaf, but we've been unable to find it. We even called their customer service line & they couldn't tell us when (or if) it'll be available once again. I had to shop for an alternative. That's when I came across this fresh & flavorful coffee that meets ALL of hubby's above-mentioned must-haves.

Mt. Whitney Organic Shade Grown, Low Acid Coffee from Peru. I have ordered different varieties from this company, several pounds in fact, and this particular one was horrible. I always buy whole bean, and I accidently bought this one ground, and my first complaint was the grind. It was as if they put the beans in a spice grinder and ground it to the consistency of flour! I have a very expensive burr coffee grinder, and even the finest expresso grind doesn't come close to how powdery this was! Then there was the color and flavor. I make my coffee strong and drink it black, but when I made this, it was like brown mud, even though I use a paper fiter, and to make matters worse, the only flavor was acidic. It makes me wonder what is even in it. Here's something that really bothers me about this company. On Amazon, they claim that the coffee is "Low acid," but nowhere on any of the bags is "low acid" printed. So I went to the companies website, and surprise, nowhere does it state that their coffee is low acid! So I emailed customer service asking if their coffee was indeed "Low Acid," and if it was, how do they achieve it. Starbucks adds a buffer to their ground coffee(think Tums), but they don't list it in the ingredients, which is why in some states they are being sued for not listing all the ingredients. And surprise surprise, no response. When I finish the rest of this swill, I'm going back to Purroast.
