  • Great Monitor with Helpful AI features to prevent Burn-In
I bought this monitor because I wanted to add an OLED display to my computer setup, but I always had an issue with the burn in issues and not really wanting a 4K monitor because that used to be the only way to get one. Now the technology has come a long way, and I am glad to see a lot more 1440p options. With this model you get the AI features that detect when you are at your desk and will wake-on-approach and lock-on-leave (these have to be enabled). It also has auto-dimming features to protect the panel further from static things like taskbars and logos to even further minimize the risk of image burn in. There are many more AI features to enable that I don't really have a use for at this time, but I could see how they could be useful to some people. This model also has DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification to give it better blacks and vibrant lifelike colors; I really like the Premium color setting as it looks good and makes colors pop a little more (this is subjective and definitely something you can change to your preference). I personally don't need the 500hz refresh rate as I don't care to go above 144hz in most games, but I like that I have the option and can set it to 360hz so that I have the extra head room if I do end up needing it with the RTX5080. It also has .03ms of grey-to-grey response time which helps with motion blur and ghosting, I personally don't have a use for it, but I am always down for faster response times even if I don't play competitive games. All in all, a good well-rounded monitor with a lot of features including some AI features that are useful to protect the monitor. Looking forward to using this monitor for a long period of time and testing if this will prevent issues with burn-in and I won't need to use the 3-year burn-in warranty. (One thing to point out it doesn't say it supports G-sync in the monitor title or the main description but if you scroll down to the manufacturer information it has it in one of the slides) ... show more

  • Great QD-OLED display for the price!
First time owner of a QD-OLED screen. First off, amazing colors and picture quality. No issues so far with VRR flickering or even using it in a bright room. I read about the magenta that is noticeable in bright rooms but I haven't really noticed it so far. I upgraded from a LG IPS 1440P monitor. Using MacType and increasing my scaling to 110% I have no issues reading text. The text fringing isn't really that bad at all. I expected it to be a whole lot worse. I'm using this with a Radeon 9070XT and I was able to run 500HZ without DSC since they both have DP 2.1. I will say I am disappointed in the AI portion where the monitor will turn off if you leave. While this is a helpful thing to have to reduce the chances of burn-in, I found it to be a little sensitive as just leaning back in my chair it thinks I'm not there. So I just resort to turning off when I'm sitting down and then turning it on if I leave for a while. I did experience some eye strain as this is my first QD-OLED but it does seem to be getting better over time. However if your eyes are sensitive I would consider maybe looking at one in the store before purchasing. Overall I'm happy with the quality of the display and feel that I got my money's worth in terms of technology and display quality. ... show more

  • Endgame QD-OLED Monitor
10/10. This monitor is honestly insane. The colors are ridiculously vibrant thanks to the QD-OLED panel, and the motion clarity at 500Hz is next level. Everything looks smooth, sharp, and super responsive, especially in fast-paced games. Blacks are true black, HDR looks amazing, and the overall picture quality just screams premium. Build quality is solid and the design looks clean on the desk. Setup was easy and the menu is straightforward. If you’re coming from a standard IPS or VA panel, the upgrade is immediately noticeable. Price is definitely high, but you get top-tier performance, visuals, and responsiveness all in one. Easily one of the best gaming monitors I’ve used. ... show more

  • This monitor meets all expectations.
I've only had the monitor for about a week and its priceless. I cant find any issues with it other then needing a USB-B in order to control the MSI light on the back and that the dragon doesn't light up like I thought it would but besides that its perfect. The color accuracy is out of this world and the HDR with True blacks makes horror games feel like you're living in it. I haven't been annoyed with the device care it usually takes care of itself while the computer is off. I doesn't really care for the Ai imaging or brightness its nothing to brag about. I keep it off but hopefully it improves in the future. I originally had the 272QP x24 and returned it for many reasons including the brightness but this monitor doesn't have that same issue I keep it down to 60% and its more than enough. I love that I can access the settings from my computer with MSI intelligence so I dont have to use the analog on the monitor. The only thing I haven't had much use for is the 500 hz yet but once I end up getting back into shooter based games im sure it will be amazing coming from 240 hz im just enjoying RPG and single player type games with how good the monitor looks. I even launched Escape from Tarkov because I was worried about the true black making it difficult but with adjustments to Nvidia settings its not a problem I could see clear as my LED monitor. I think with this monitor you have the best of all worlds and you can use it to enjoy any type of game and there's not really any cons. ... show more

  • Great monitor minus small bubbles visible only when turned off!
Developed small bubbles on surface, only visible when turned off. Other than that a fantastic monitor!

  • Superb
It's great, the size, bezels, build quality, MSI firmware and software features, etc. Refresh rate and response time are incredible. I thought I might envy new 540hz WOLED panels but no. I've had none of the perceived downsides of QOLED as the brightness on this monitor is great and even in an indoor well lit room "magenta" blacks are basically not perceivable (blacker than anything surrounding it). In lower lighting the blacks are perfect. Unlike these recent WOLEDs, uniformity is perfect as far as my eye can tell. ... show more

  • Abysmal Functionality
Besides the fact that this monitor has the power switch (and a toggle menu switch) in the back where you have to fumble around to turn it on/off, upon restarts, it constantly says the OLED care did not complete and to select Execute to finish. The problem is you cannot select Execute in its window, with the mouse nor press Enter to execute. I had to shut down and turn off the monitor repeatedly to make it go away, not knowing if it completed what it wanted to do or not. By virtue of the fact the message keeps repeating, I presume it did not since I don't know why it would need to do it so often. In addition, the fumbling around with the power and toggle switches, I inadvertently turned on a timer that likewise I could not affect with the mouse or any key combinations. I had no idea where it had come from and blamed Windows Pro 11 on this new PC, and I spent three hours with a Microsoft AI and two tech chats that couldn't resolve the issue. Only because upon one of my shutdowns I saw a screen that showed the timer setup in a window did I discover it came from the monitor. With more guesswork with the toggle switch I finally managed to kill it. This monitor is a disaster that is not worth the aggravation. Buy some other OLED if that's what you want, but not this one. ... show more

  • Terrific panel!
Finally. 500Hz, DP 2.1 (UHBR20), OLED, 27-inch, which GSYNC support. Coming from a 1440p 144Hz IPS panel this OLED is quite an updrade. I have been waiting for a DP 2.1 (UHBR20) monitor that can run 480+Hz at 1440p with no Display Stream Compression (DSC). This means you can use DSR/DLDSR to downscale while still running a full 500Hz. I have been testing some of my favorite games with this monitor, and being able to run Half-Life 2 at 5K (DSR 4x) and 500Hz at 500fps with OLED colors is pretty amazing (running on a PNY RTX5080). When I first got the monitor, I could not get 500Hz to 'stick', it kept reverting to 480Hz. Updating the firmware to .020 fixed that issue (monitor came with firmware .015). Ensure you have a DP2.1 UHBR20 cable or else you will run into issues like not having resolutions/refresh rates show up as selections, or black screens. I am running this one (Stouchi 80Gbps DisplayPort 2.1 Cable [10FT/3M], UHBR20) and I was initially concerned that a 3M cable would be too long and have signal issues but it has been working great so far. This is likely my endgame monitor for some time. Worth the wait and the money. I had been waiting to get either this or Gigabytes 500Hz OLED offering, but this MSI one was availalbe first. ... show more
