I bought this for a new PC Build. It's paired with an AMD 7950X, 64 Gigs of DDR5, and a Taichi Lite B650E motherboard and Seasonic 1200w PSU... The good: + Amazing performance; I own a 4090 as well, and though this card cannot match it in raw performance, the Suprim 4080 has yet to meet a game it can't run well past 1440p @ 165 FPS. + Outstanding cooling: It stays cool and quiet even under benchmarking and heavy loads (I broke it in with Furmark). The bad: - Heavy as Heck! - It comes with a somewhat gimmicky support 'strut rod' but just feeling the card you KNOW you need it in place. I had fun with this card, but I couldn’t really use it to it’s potential because I game at 1080p and I've got a weak CPU (i7-12700) which is around a 25% bottleneck or so when paired with this 4080. I recommend having the proper hardware to run this card at its full potential. While I did notice a significant increase in game quality and Raytracing as my last card was a 3060ti, I can say this is a VERY good card. Value for money? I don’t agree with the price. I think this is too much for a card like this even with its sleek and modern design. While I used this card, the fan noise was hardly noticeable, if any at all. There was no coil whine or fan issues. The size of the card fit perfectly in my H9 Elite from NZXT, and I had plenty of room inside the case even with the card installed. The temperature of the card stayed relatively the same (around 20 degrees Celsius up to 44 degrees Celsius) even when playing in high or ultra settings on games, like Fortnite, Rocket League, Warzone, Minecraft, and more. If you’re upgrading from an older GPU, I recommend this one was long as you’ve got the hardware to run it to its potential. ... show more

Large metal backplate helps spread out the heat, and you'll need it for this gpu. Easily gets <180 FPS on high settings.

    • Great Potential, But Plagued by Software Headaches
I really wanted to love this product, and on a hardware level, it's fantastic. The build quality is solid, and the performance potential is clearly there. Unfortunately, all of that is completely undermined by the user experience, as there are definitely system glitches and issues with the software. The control suite is a constant source of frustration. My custom lighting profiles refuse to save correctly, resetting to a default rainbow puke effect every time the system wakes from sleep. The fan control is even worse; custom curves I set in the software just don't seem to apply half the time, leading to my fans either spinning way louder than they need to or not ramping up properly under load. The whole application feels buggy, slow, and randomly crashes in the background. It's a real shame when you pay a premium for hardware, only to be locked out of its best features by a broken and frustrating software experience. I can't recommend it until they put some serious work into fixing these glitches. Is it very bulky So make sure that you have the right outfitted case in order for it to fit correctly. ... show more

First of all, the card is a beast. While I haven't gotten to put it through all its paces, the benchmarks look great and the card is solid. I mean this thing is like 5 pounds and solid as a rock. The one issue I will point out is discoloration on the top plate (opposite the fans, the side that faces up in a normal configuration). Around the screw holes/posts there is clear discoloration and a distinct change in texture. It almost appears that after the threaded insets were put in, the area around them was buffed with a mild abrasive. Not a huge deal, but for a $1,200 card, I would expect a higher quality/attention to detail. ... show more

This gpu very much has the performance i desired. Fair warning it is depectively large. Make sure your PC case can fit it's specs before purchase
