Why We Loved Them: The set comes with plenty of cards and is super easy for a toddler to use.Boosts both speech development and fine motor skills as they handle the cards and buttons. I also really appreciate that it includes two separate volume options—a huge win for parents! Room for Improvement (Minor Wish): My only wish is that there was an option to buy expansion packs for more cards, or perhaps a way to pair the cards with the actual sounds the different items make (like a dog bark or train whistle). Although my little one is a huge fan of this toy and the song. I find the toy a bit quiet, even at the loudest volume option. And it doesn’t help that the speaker is at the bottom of the toy so when my son plays with this on the bed, he can’t hear it anymore. So he can only really play with this on a table or the floor.. Maybe the speaker could’ve gone on the side or something. Dunno. That’s really my only complaint because others it is very sweet, easy to use, and my son is entertained for a long period. Our grandbaby loves Ms. Rachel, and seemed excited to learn something new. We are hoping she learns a few new words with Ms. Rachel, since she gets excited just hearing her voice. At 17 months, she has almost got the hang of inserting the card. The card reader has two volume settings, and both appear very low. You will not be annoyed with a loud noisy toy, but it is adequate for quiet play. There are 50 double sided cards and each side has a tiny bar code.
