This is a lovely umbrella and my initial reason for getting it was to help combat the sun when I am outside. I used it on a very sunny and windy day. Since it was very windy, I will gladly say that the umbrella did not invert, which I was very grateful for. Unfortunately, the button on the umbrella handle is also used to close the umbrella. This is a little frustrating because once or twice, my hand accidentally touched the button while I was using the umbrella, making the umbrella start to collapse, and the only way to get it open again, was to push the umbrella all the way back down into the handle and then hit the button again to spring it back out. Conceptually, I understand the idea of trying to make it easy to open and close the umbrella. However, there should be a lock added to it so that once it is open, and if your hand accidentally touches the button, it will not collapse and make you have to fidget with the umbrella. I am removing one star because of this flaw in the design.

I ordered this umbrella in the hazy pink color. It’s gorgeous! It’s kind of a blush-pink mixed with a peach, and it’s very versatile and attractive. The umbrella opens and closes easily, once you figure it out (or read the instructions). Make sure you undo the clasp that holds it together before popping it open. It opens quickly and forcefully, so be careful with that, as well. I’m sure there’s a way a determined person could manage to hurt themselves with it. Warnings aside, this umbrella is totally worth the approximately $15 price tag. It does get pulled around on windy days, but a tight grip could solve that. It calls itself “virtually windproof” and I take that to mean it won’t be turned inside-out because of its fiberglass and aluminum (sturdy!) frame. This umbrella is made for travel; it’s small enough to fit in most purses or even a jacket pocket. It has a reflective strip that increases the chance a motorist will see you walking with it in the rain. (Short of making the whole umbrella reflective, I think this is a good solution; the rest is up to the drivers.) It pops open and closed easily and they say it has “anti-rebound design” that’s safe enough for a child to use. It’s true that it’s all operated by one button, but I always say to err on the side of safety where children are concerned (most of their antics alone are enough to get them injured). The handle has an elastic loop (bungee/nylon material) that is handy for hanging the umbrella up to dry or just for holding onto it while folded. It can also go around your wrist while you’re using the umbrella to prevent you from dropping and losing it. I highly recommend this umbrella but I will update this review should anything change. I think it’s higher quality than a lot of its competitors, even ones that are more expensive.

I like keeping this one in the car. It's small and compact but still works well. It is pretty sturdy, but maybe not as much as a more expensive name brand one. I expected that, so not an issue for me - I needed something inexpensive and small for the car.

This umbrella is the perfect size for a single person. Some travel umbrellas just do not have enough width to shield from the rain and wind, while other umbrellas are simply too large and more suited for two people to share. This umbrella size is just what I was looking for. This umbrella is quite heavy compared to other travel umbrellas that fold like this, but I would still recommend it. The pink color that I got is also very cute. I am excited to use this and hopefully, it does not break easily.
