    • It's pretty much a toy, but useful for practice.
The instrument itself is adequate for practice. It's pretty good for the price. It doesn't have the range or volume of a professional xylophone, but I didn't expect that. The latches on the case had problems. The right latch's screws had stripped the holes and one screw was missing. I had to put wood glue in the holes to fix the latch. It wasn't worth returning it because this was a fairly simple problem to fix. ... show more

Perfect for pit/musical orchestras. I bought this specifically to use for the musical "You're a good man, Charlie Brown" and it blew my mind how great this sounded. I had it double stacked with orchestra bells and it exceeded my expectations.

Decent sound, but product arrived broken--it's fixable, but disappointing. I cannot see how anyone would give this product more than 3 stars even if it arrived with nothing broken.

    • sadly, this xylophone sounds terrible
I had to return this xylophone. It sounded terrible; tinny and sharp when using the wooden mallets. Did not sound better with yarn mallets. I am comparing it, however, to more expensive instruments used in music class at an elementary school. But still...
