I'm not a professional - I use these shears to groom my dog so I'm not particularly careful or fussy about them. I wondered if these shears might have been cheaply made, or sub-standard, boy was I shocked to find the quality of this incredible bargain rival's that of the more expensive ones I've purchased previously!     • Require some effort to cut properly.
These scissors require some force to make sure the two halves press firmly against each other while cutting. Otherwise hair will slip in between and they wont cut anything. I tried adjusting the set screw which did not help too much.

I have incredibly thick hair. I almost spent a billion dollars at a salon but thought I’d try for the first time using thinning shears instead.
