The mattress arrived quickly and was packaged first in a vacuum sealed bag, then another plastic bag/covering that was tightly secured, and finally was slipped into a large box. the box had some damage, but the mattress was perfectly fine inside. We had hoped to open it up and air it out for a few days before anyone slept on it (per another review about it's odor out of the bag), but weren't able to do so. While it does have a slight odor (new mattress smell), my nephew said it was comfortable and slept well on it the night we got it. my husband laid on it and said he might sleep there instead of our bed because he found it so comfy. ... show more

    • Stains, noxious odor, bad quality.
This thing is a hunk of garbage. It feels like a floppy fish, it’s not fluffy at all. The nice cushioning in the picture does not exist in real life. The tack downs are just threads, not buttons, so it’s ugly and is definitely going to rip. It came with little spots all over it that look like oil stains. It was packaged only in plastic that had several rips in it, so there are dirt spots on it. And to top it all off, it smells terrible. So bad I’m nervous to have my daughter and pets around it. I did read the other reviews before purchase but was hoping for the best. I definitely received worse than I expected and would not recommend ANYONE purchase this. Edited to add, three days later: I spent 24 hours coughing and feeling like I'm having an asthma attack after the two times I spent less than five minutes with this thing. It's still in my house in a room we can't use until we have time to deal with sending it back (yes, you can return it, but you'll have to package it yourself AND take it to the UPS store, quite the ordeal for something that weighs so much). It's a well made, good-looking item and it's ok to sit on. But the next time I sleep on something so hard I expect to be fodder for the coroner.

Was not what it looked like ! Expected it to be soft and thick ! It was not ! Too big to ship back. Also has a funny smell to it. So I had to buy a cover to mask the smell.
