With it being so cold, I wanted to give these a try as we are having a mouse problem in the basement because they have nowhere to go with the freezing temperatures! I have definitely noticed less of them, as this is not a mouse killer I cannot vouch for its efficacy as obviously I don't have any evidence as you would if it was poison, but I think the smell is really lovely a strong pepperminty smell and I have definitely noticed a decrease in activity so they do exactly what they say! Really nice to be able to put these in your pantry cupboards and have a lovely scent but also know that you are deterring pests

These Rodent and Pest Repellent Balls from the brand Cacutusgo are a 24 pack, so you get a lot of them. Very convenient that they are individually wrapped and sealed. I could smell their scent as soon as I opened the box. The scent reminded me of the scent of rubbing alcohol. Either way, it's a scent rodents and pests would stay away from. Much cleaner and humane way to deal with such issues. Great this is a natural alternative that can be used both indoors and outdoors and also around pets. Kinda neat too that they are made of peppermint oil, castor oil, and clove, then infused into corn cob. Hadn't heard of that before and sounds like a good way to use up corn cobs. Small breathable bags are also included that will allow the scent to be released. I don't have issues with pets or rodents so hard to assess its effectiveness, but this seems like a good way to prevent the problem.

I laid out these Mouse Rodent Repellent Balls by CACUTUSGO only about a week ago, but so far they appear to be a simple and natural way to keep pests out of my home. Made with a plant-based blend of Peppermint Oil and other essential oils, these repellents release a strong minty scent that rodents and insects are known to avoid. They’re incredibly easy to use, since all you really have to do is just place a ball into the included pouch and then set it in your problem areas (like garages, basements, attics, or RVs). It's a fairly low-maintenance option that doesn’t require constant replacement or monitoring. It’s also nice to have one product that works both indoors and outdoors, helping to deter not only mice and rats, but also spiders, ants, and other pests. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the apparent efficacy, convenience, and affordability of these rodent repellent balls. The scent feels strong enough to serve its purpose, but isn't overpowering to humans. So far, they have been a practical, stress-free solution for keeping my home pest-free, but I guess the real test will come in the Spring. So far, so good.

I used this rodent bait in my garage after noticing signs of mice near stored boxes. The package was sealed properly when it arrived, and the bait pieces stayed intact while handling. When I first opened the bag, there was a strong, cool smell similar to mint, which was noticeable right away. I placed the bait along the wall where activity usually happens and left it undisturbed. The size fits well into corners and narrow areas. Instructions were easy to follow, and the contents matched what I received in the box. It has been manageable to use as part of regular pest control.

The idea of a peppermint-based repellent made sense to me—strong scent, no mess, and no trap cleanup. When I opened the package, the mint smell was strong right away. I used the pouches and placed them in a mix of locations: tucked-away indoor areas that can attract pests, plus a couple of outdoor-adjacent spots where bugs like to creep in. The scent stays closer to the placement area, which is what I prefer, since I’m treating problem zones rather than trying to make the whole house smell like mint. What stands out is how low-maintenance it is. Once the pouches are set, there’s nothing to babysit. I also like that it targets more than just rodents—spiders and insects are part of the issue where I live, so having broader coverage helps.
