The device apears to be strong and very steady attacment. I am happy with that and the guidnlines for assembly are very clear. it comes with two mounting options. One that is based on vise (supplied) The other involves a hole in the table. (also with supporting) The vise is good enough and very solid. One comment - the metal attached to the monitor was too big - I used it on a Samsung 28" (brilliant monitor). So I had to cut it to fit into the overcome that it is too big. The kit comes with spaces, but I chose to make that adjustment and I am happy with that. ... show more

    • They changed the VESA mount..... again.
If you have several of these (like I do), the previous version had a nice finger catch to hold the monitor mount to the arm. That super simple interface is gone... replaced by a cheap piece of stamped metal and now a horky screw. Why??? I am seriously considering sending it back just so I don't have to deal with the fact I can't interchange monitors easily now. ... show more

    • Great Monitor Arm at a Great Price
I replaced my previous monitor arm due to it not having proper adjustments. This new monitor arm is vastly superior in every way, and at a similar price point. Pros: -This was very easy to install, requiring no additional tools -Once I got the arms tightened up it stays where I put it and doesn't sag at all -I am able to move the arm out to its extreme angles and it handles it well -Taking the monitor off the arm is just as easy as putting it on the arm Cons: -The cable management channels are a little tight for my setup. All of my cables fit and work well, but if I want to add any additional cables it could be an issue. -One of the tension bolts had to be cranked down pretty hard. My monitor is at the edge of allowed weight (14 pounds) but still in spec. Overall I am very happy with this monitor arm. There is no sag and everything is staying where I put it. ... show more

You won't go wrong buying this monitor crane (arm). From the moment you open the box, you'll be impressed. To say this crane is sturdy is an understatement. It's beautifully designed and very well made. There are three ways to mount the device: 1. Clamping it to the desktop, 2. Screwing the mounting bracket to the vertical side, or back, of the desk , and 3. Using the bolt to to fasten it through the desktop which is what I did. The kit comes with everything needed to mount and adjust the arm. Besides all the necessary screws and bracketry, the kit includes two allen wrenches. The larger one even has a phillips screw driver on the long leg. The finish is emaculate powder coated. It will probably outlast you. Oh, I almost forgot, the arm sections have cable races attached to organize cable-clutter. As you can tell, I'm very pleased. I know you will be too. ... show more

I have a couple monitors in front of me and a third off to my side and I use this to hold it in place. It keeps it elevated just up and out of the way in the perfect position to just look over at. Of course it has adjustments and can be moved so when I need to I can move the monitor and swing the arm, etc. Also has cable holding areas along the arm. ... show more

    • Good Except Careless Manufacture & Useless Customer Support
I recently replaced my desk at home with the new desk being less deep than the previous one. Consequently, the screen mount I was using (Tyke Supply's Dual LCD Monitor Stand desk clamp) could not position my dual monitors at the same distance away from me as before. I needed a different solution which would allow my screens to be positioned behind my desk, i.e. not mounted above the desk surface. No review I read stated this as a possible configuration, but looking at the design of this mount suggested it would work. It does. I would have given this mount 5 stars except for two things. First, the recess which the VESA bracket clips into was upside down on one of the clamps. I was able to remove it and re-attach it the correct way up, but I shouldn't have had to. Second and more importantly, I had an issue with the spring tension in one of the mounts. I could not figure out how to adjust it so I called Customer Support. You don't ever get to speak to anyone. You can only leave a voice message. You already know where this is going, don't you? Well, I left a voice message with a clear description of the problem together with my 'phone number. That was days ago and I still haven't heard back from them. Typical company which wants to sell product but doesn't want to engage with customers or help support what they manufacture. There's a word for companies like that but I'm sure Amazon would publish my review if I mentioned it. Buyer beware - if everything works perfectly out of the box, you're onto a winner....if not, good luck! ... show more
