  • Great stand..
For the price, and for what this is, it is a GREAT stand. It is built super strong, and does exactly what it needs to do. I saw some other complaints about this 1. Not being adjustable - It IS adjustable, it just isn't the sort of stand that you are going to be adjusting every day. You adjust it once to where you like it, and then you LEAVE IT! If you have the need to constantly screw with where your monitors are positioned, then you'll want to go get one of the 200-300 dollar adjustable ones. For me I just set the height I wanted, angled the monitors, and locked it all in and it has been great since. 2. Monitors sagging - I saw some people say that they stripped the bolt? And that they couldn't get it tight enough?? I'm not even sure how that is possible, the bolts that hold the monitors up are big 3/8" - 1/2" sized bolts. The only thing I can figure is that maybe they were using the cheap wrench that came with the stand to tighten the bolts down and it stripped, and/or it couldn't get the bolts tight enough?? I personally just grabbed my socked set and I was able to tighten down the bolt with no problem. 3. Not level - I DID have this problem. My right monitor was about 1/2" higher than my left, but they are identical monitors..I grabbed my level and started checking things out. The monitor stand was fine. It was my desk that was a little out of level, not a lot, very little in fact, but I guess even being out a little gets amplified by the time you figure out the main support and arms. Unfortunately the support doesn't come with any way to adjust level on these, but all I had to do was cut two very thin pieces of cardboard (more like thick construction paper really) and use them to shim the base a bit.. I thought I would need several pieces, but it just needed the two thin pieces and now everything is dead level.. 4. Too heavy for my desk - Hey, you're hanging two heavy monitors from a rather small footprint.. If you have a cheap thin desk, then you may want to put some extra blocking in there or something. It isn't the fault of this stand that you bought a cheap desk.. Hope this review is helpful. I wanted to leave a detailed one because I almost didn't buy this stand because of a few of the negative reviews.. I'm glad I decide to go ahead and get it. This is a sold, well-built stand, and it is a great price. Just take your time and use your head when putting it together.. ... show more

  • Well-made stand with loads of options for installation and setup.
I'm just going to pile it on! This stand is fantastic. It is very sturdy, it's adjustable, and it comes with enough hardware to suit just about any installation need. I selected this stand over others because it has the ability to route the cables through the center of the main stand/pillar. It's a great option for a clean look, and although this product does not have the quick-snap feature to just drop the monitors into place once you've positioned the stand, I think it's well worth it in the long run. I mean, you only install the monitors once, but you have to look at messy cables every day. I used this stand to support two older DELL 20" (4:3 1600 x 1200) monitors. These are not the widescreen type so the space between them need not be as large; so in order to keep them from protruding way out onto the desk, I removed the smaller section on each arm. This brings the monitors to within one inch of each other if I push the arms all the way back. If I'm willing to pull them forward a little, they easily come together at the seam. The stand is clamped onto an IKEA Galant desk which is about 3/4" thick. To install it, I simply positioned the mounting bracket in the middle setting and tightened the eye-bolts almost as needed. Again, these are the older 4:3 screen-ration monitors, so I needed a stand that could go as high as possible so that the viewing angle on these would not put a person looking downward. This stand accomplished that beautifully. With the arms positioned on the highest setting on the center-pole, I get about 9" of clearance below these monitors, which is what I wanted. Overall, I am very pleased with this stand. It's sturdy, looks great, it offers flexibility in installation, all of the joints can be tightened/loosened as needed, and the hidden cable-management just becomes icing on the cake! ... show more
