just received this little cart on 5/12/26 , ripped down the box and to my surprise it was electric. i ordered a gas so i was a bit bummed but decided O well , looking it over i discover it has low and high range speed switch and a reverse switch which i decided would be better for the young grand kids to learn on and the electric prob has more power. this cart is awesome and built well , my wife test drove it 1/3 mile through not so smooth gravel pit area with small uneven hills on road and did very well with motor being only slightly warm. has hydraulic brake and adjustable seat with good ground clearance, the kids will love it. ... show more

Early Christmas gift for one of my grandsons. (Wanted him to get some riding time in before the serious winter weather hits.) Shipping took. nearly a month, but it did finally arrive. Opening outer carton showed some oil leakage, so there was that concern. Assembly was pretty straight forward. The only part where an extra hand was helpful was lifting the buggy to help getting the tires mounted. My floor jack took care of that. All of the nuts and bolts were pre-positioned, so don’t freak out looking for the “bag of hardware”. All told, assembly took under an hour, and I was in no hurry. It does ship with engine oil installed, and maybe that was the source of the leakage, but the level was good. ?? This little machine is pretty quick! My g-son flipped out and has about 6 hours on it so far. The only issue has been the accelerator pedal getting stuck a couple of times. He had the good sense to hit the kill switch and brake. Some re-tweaking of the pedal assembly hardware took care of the issue, but do check it out before you turn your youngster loose on this buggy. Cool little machine! ... show more

It came very nicely packaged, was easy to assemble, started right up perfect. It is fast and fun. The only negative I have at all is that the governor does nothing. If you have the governor lowered to the point it does something, the cart won’t move at all, if you raise the governor to the point it will move, then it’s fast, to fast for beginners. ... show more

I’ve been weary of buying something like this online due to problems, shortage of parts, etc. really just spending so much money on something you’ve not even seen or tinkered around on. But this company did great! This is an exceptionally well built go cart. Motor and chain back wheels and seat and stuff was already put together, I only had the front wheels some of the frame and steering wheel to put on! I’ve had zero problems with it, and he’s rode the dog crap outta this thing, you can order more parts and the website is very easlily laid out on what brand and parts are were. That’s moto tec.com is the website. It takes regular gas, you’ll need gas,and it was sent with already filled full of oil. It takes your basic oil as well. I would consider buying some road tires online there only 24.99 a piece. As I would say this is a great cart and it goes pretty fast! Even with me on it, it halls a**! ... show more

I brought this go cart in August for my grandson's 8th birthday. He has been riding it daily for a month. We have 4 acres to ride on and his dad takes him out on blm land trails and follows him in his utv. The go cart has gotten a lot of miles on it without any problems. The oil has been changed and the chain tightened, but that is all. Update in November: The rear bearings fell apart, so I bought better ones at an auto parts store. The clutch went out on the gocart, but Mototec replaced it because it is still under warranty. BUT... I had to pay $18 for shipping. Now the rear tires have failed. First, one got a leak, then the other one got a big bulge in it. I've purchased heavier duty new tires for it. My grandson still loves his gocart. It has required some upgrades, but it is still a nice gocart. My grandson is now 11 years old and still rides his go-cart. He fits a bit snug now. The brake master cylinder failed recently, but we bought a new one and it is now fine. It also lost some steering bolts but was also fixable. ... show more

After 1 hour of my 5 yr old riding this machine the jack shaft carrier bearings completely ground themselves to dust and the chains popped off. After taking apart after an hour of use we found this problem and are awaiting a response from the seller to send new parts. Very dissatisfied so far! Machine looks good and was easy to put together but frustrated as hell ... show more

Came in very well package had a metal frame around it. Very easy to put together just a few tools. Instruction book almost useless but did have torque spec's I also used loc tight. Only negative the ground wire to the kill switch was not crimped but a easy fix. Getting the motor to fire up the first time was a turd but after that it fires up very easy. The biggest thrill was the grandson face when the cover was pulled off of it. Priceless...... As for long term quality jury still out, I am sure he will hit every thing in the yard at one time or another. Future updates will be posted Updated 04/21/2024 The drive chain will stretch and loosen up you can adjust it by the mounting bolts on the engine block. The motor is now broken in and starts on the first or second pull. I would recommend buying a back up chain and clutch they will be the weakest parts but they are not that expenisive and a chain breaker is a must as well. Update 11/18/2024 Still going strong still fires on the first or second pull. Grandson ran over a thorny locust branch all the tires went flat. I mixed super glue with baking soda covered the holes good as new again still holding air. You have to stay on top of the chain or it will throw chains off the spocket. The Tires are not the best if you get anything bigger than a small puncture you will need a new tire. ... show more

The go cart arrived damaged in box, the delivery truck called us to tell us delivery was not free and would need to pay $50 to have it taken off of the truck. The go cart itself was in disarray, with the engine shifted forward causing the chain to be loose. My husband is very handy but it took him close to 4 hours to fix the issues with the cart. So sad ... show more
