  • Great Phone but Have Patience in Setup Process
Upon receiving this phone I installed my sim card and turned the phone on and got the dreaded "Phone Locked by Verizon" which is not my provider. The message I received was my sim card would not work. I then decided to see what would happen if I proceeded to set up the phone and download my apps (thinking if I still got the message that the phone was locked, I would reset it to factory settings and return it). After setting it up and restarting the phone, it recognized my sim and all is good -- it's unlocked. I've been using it now for a day and it's great (like new). The only thing is when I boot it up, the Verizon logo comes up for a fraction of a second then disappears. I got the phone for $159 which is about $90 less than the current price for the Moto G Power 2025 on Amazon. If you purchase this phone and get the message that it's locked, I would recommend spending a little more time to go through the setup process and see if its really locked. I am very happy with the condition of the phone and the speed. It should be noted that this phone repaces a 2020 Motorola Moto G Stylus which was beginning to slow down and the battery life was beginning to fail. I hope this review is helpful in your decision. ... show more

  • Not actually unlocked — arrived locked to Cricket
This phone was advertised as “Unlocked,” but it arrived locked to Cricket. I couldn’t activate it with my carrier at all. Even after a factory reset, the device showed Cricket branding and rejected my SIM. Amazon Prime handled the return quickly, but buyers should know this is not a truly unlocked phone. If you need a real unlocked device, avoid this listing. ... show more

  • Moto G Power 2025 excelent condition referb
Correct product in excellent shape so far, I've only had it for a few days but the battery seems to have 90+ % and it looks like it is brand new. Bang for your buck it the 2025 g power is a good phone. Shipping was on time as advertised and the item arrived with a charger and cable in a plain box. It is carrier unlocked as advertised, although it does have verizon branding on startup it worked fine with another carrier. The only thing I could think of adding is a sim door pin, it didn't come with one so I had to dig up my old one but that isn't a big deal and not worth a star to me, but if someone needs a phone and doesn't have something that will fit to pop out the sim tray I could see it being frustrating. ... show more

  • a very good phone that looks & functions like new
Overall a pretty great phone. It's unlocked and i had very little problem activating it with Mint Mobile, although it still displays AT&T's stupid splash video on boot and shutdown, which is annoying but not otherwise gamebreaking. Functions like a new phone otherwise, and visually it looks like it hadn't been used for more than a week originally - there are no scratches or anything. My only problem is with Bluetooth, and that might just be the older devices I'm connecting to. (It always throws an error when connecting to my car stereo, but if i disconnect and then connect manually, it connects just fine - this would be a massive problem for a music-obsessed getaway driver, since i can't just get in and go; it takes a couple of minutes to complete the autoconnect, and manually disconnect & connect. Thankfully I'm not a getaway driver, just someone who would prefer to get in and go without this hassle. Again, could be a problem with the car stereo, or just a compatibility issue.) Also, sometimes when i'm connected to my 5.1 home theater audio system, the audio is super choppy. Another thing that COULD well be the other device and not the phone. I wish Android made it easier to dump BT cache and turn off BT autoconnect, which would probably solve these issues. You'll want to always shoot in Pro mode, or use a 3rd party camera app. Motorola's stock camera app refuses to not apply stupid beauty filtering, which smears faces and makes it look like people are wearing uncanny leather masks. Using a 3rd party camera or shooting in Pro mode alleviates this. Pro mode doesn't require a photog degree; most settings do have an auto function. Even then, the camera still lacks detail. If you're getting this for photography, you might want to consider a different model. The Google Pixel phones are real standouts in that regard. This is just a budget phone with otherwise good-to-surprisingly great specs after all. It's genuinely a very good phone - not a stellar phone, but definitely not a crappy phone by any stretch either. It's replacing a Pixel 4a 5G. I got it for the headphone jack, the fat battery, the ruggedness, and the microSD slot. ... show more

  • Phone is unlocked, but Verizon is still installing software without consent
The good new is that the phone is unlocked as promised, and I can text and call with my provider. The battery life is not what I expected from a like-new phone, but the camera and screen are fine. The problem is that the phone thinks it's a Verizon phone, and there's no way to convince it otherwise. There doesn't seem to be a way to delete all the Verizon apps from the phone. I have disabled all the ones I could find, but I still regularly get notifications warning me that the SIM card I'm using is not from Verizon. This is annoying but manageable. However, what really irks me is that the Verizon App Manager seems to resurrect itself and it keeps installing apps without my consent. These are games that look like they could be malware and that I have zero interest in, so I delete them as soon as they appear. For me, the hassle created by this behavior makes this "renewed" version not worth the money. I won't be buying one of these ever again. ... show more

  • Gemini Assistant instead of power on and off. Phone just stays on forever I guess.
The phone would be great, but the power button brings up google assistant, which is absolutely infuriating. After weeks of researching it, i figured out how to turn it off (it's in settings, gestures wtf?). ONE STAR MOTOROLA because i can't change it to something useful, like the flash light. I hate these tech aholes. so much. Google needs to go out of business. ... show more
